QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Feb 8 2022, 08:06 PM) 1. LAN2 from BTU to your 3rd party router's WAN port. I've done the same using the old PPPoE password but still not able to connect Internet, would it be help if I get a new PPPoE password from Maxis? Or else what should I do?2. Power up the router and connect via WiFi. 3. Perform a Quick Setup and select the Maxis profile. 4. Enter the pppoe username and password from Maxis. 6. Save and reboot. The VLAN ID was preset as 621 |

In AX20 quick setup, im using Maxis 1 preset profile for VLAN ID621. other remains, what's goes wrong ya? The Internet light is just yellow |

My AX20 was setup for unifi previously and just transfer to Maxis. But anyway it has quick setup to Maxis setting.
Or do I need to reset my AX20 router because of this? |

That's a weird combination, why ER605 if you are not using Omada AP? Just directly Deco X60 will do. I don't recommend using Deco on AP mode as you lose all the roaming, AP steering smoothness. Deco series prefer to operate on router mode for optimal performance. This post has been edited by blacktubi: Dec 21 2024, 11:49 AM sulfuriq liked this post

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Dec 21 2024, 11:48 AM) That's a weird combination, why ER605 if you are not using Omada AP? This is because the Deco X60 only have 2 LAN port which I have to use switch if I want to add LAN connection. Just directly Deco X60 will do. I don't recommend using Deco on AP mode as you lose all the roaming, AP steering smoothness. Deco series prefer to operate on router mode for optimal performance. Right now my Maxis Fiber Router (downstair home office) connected to LAN 1. My PC 2. NAS 3. Switch for Printer 4. DECO X60 (main) Upstairs in*AP mode Then DECO X60 (main) to 1. TL-SG108E (1) - TV & NVIDIA Shield 2. DECO X60 Living Room DECO X60 Living Room to 1. TL-SG108E (2) to PS4, ASTRO & TV Already turn off Wifi function on my Maxis Fiber Router and 2.4ghz on my DECO X60 (just using 5ghz). If I change the Deco mode to router, do I need to change the Maxis router to Bridge mode, and if so will the DECO protect my NAS and PC which are connected directly to the Maxis Router? |

You basically delete the Maxis router and replace it with the DecoThat would be the best option You could probably reuse it as a switch if you disable all the functions sulfuriq liked this post
