Serious opinion needed.

This morning when my wife went out to put trash into the trash bin.

Suddenly my front house nebor maid shouting to my wife and say ' sister, please help me ' . She is philipino maid.

My wife was shocked and she just say ' please discuss with your boss ' and she straight away go back to our house.

Then she told me. and asked what should we do.

I am not close to that nebor because he is not close to anyone within this neborhood. They are very unfriendly. I suspect he involved with illegal activities because always saw ah beng gangster frequent go to the house.I also dont know what business he is doing.

So what we suppose to do hah?

Call police ? or buat tak tahu?

Help la...report police, so police siasat...later the maid die or get hurt futher, it's on your conscience...

Just minta police siasat...said the maid minta tolong tapi sy tak minta details..harap pihak police siasat..

Talk to your neighbours in the same road to discuss next course of action (you do know them right?). Talk to your Rukun Tetangga or Resident Association to see what they know and what you all can do. It's a neighbourhood problem after all, the burden just doesn't fall on you. If it fails pay a visit to your local balai and speak to the officer there for their opinion

At least hear what is her situation and what help she needs.

If she's getting abused then you should report to authorities. We hear so many cases of maid abused to death in recent months. If she ended up in that situation you will feel guilty for life.

If she's asking for money then I'll not entertain.

If you are a responsible member of the society, just make a call, tell them the situation, give details of you (non-disclosure). They will take necessary action.

at least you know the details before reporting to the police.

What if it is something trivial like maybe she just wants to borrow some kitchen equipment from you and then your wife suddenly responded "discuss with your boss".

and why did your wife respond by saying "discuss with your boss" without hearing the details from her first?

But for TS to ask this question, I suppose TS' wife must have seen her facial expression that suggests she needs more than to borrow kitchen equipment. Perhaps TS can share more.

The last thing a neighbour would want is when ask for help is to push him or her aside.

In our current society, many people place self pride more important unless forced by circumstances.

The least a person could do is to listen. Can tolong or otherwise is another matter.

It could be a health issue, a fall, a small fire or anything happened inside the house.

When one is in public place, then is understandable.

Updat:

My wife have decided to talk to her. But she not going out pulak. So my wife 10 a.m buat2 doing gardening i. front of house.

Around 11 plus the maid appear in front of the house to throw rubbish into trash bin.

Then my wife immediate asked her if anything she can help. And what is it about yesterday.

But the maid just said its ok..Everything ok already..No worries. Then she straight away go back to the house.

So now we are quite relief to know that everything is ok.

To all above that giving advice i would say thanks. We really appreciate it.

Something not right.

It's possible she is being monitored by her boss so she say everything is okay.

Any signs of abuse on her? (bruises, wound etc)

Or approach her when the owner not around and see.

Maybe she will tell the truth.

Most of us here are familiar with TS and his previous dupes.

I find it hard to believe that at the very least neighbours were not consulted. Or TS after posting this supposedly serous incident in /k of all places and gave half aased answers proceeded to open another spam thread before being called out again. It goes to show how serious it is that he deems opening another spam thread more important than addressing this issue.

Well neborhood here all of us scared with the maid employer. He is a big gangster. Everyday you can see a few ah beng will in and out of the house. My wife not prepared at all to a sudden request coming from that house. Some more not easy to talk because rhe house is infront of our house. The road in front of our house is wide and that time got 2 big dogs following the maid when she get out of the gate.

Now got dog pulak?

And also you never addressed the follow up. Why are you happy with the simple explanation by the maid and deemed it sufficient to close the issue? Is that explanation satisfactory?

Stop making up cool stories. It's wearing thin.
