Any suggestion on how to kill a Plesioth? It is so annoying having to play cat and mouse with it.

Anyway, did you clear G-Rank Quest 6-7 stars?

Sonic bombs and frogs to fish it up. You'll damage it a little if you fish it up with frogs. After it's up, go for the legs and belly after his done shooting his water preasure, don't get greedy though, when his about to do his side knock, start moving. If you're using a weapon with block feature then you can just block it. Fire & Thunder element weapon works well against him, If his fin is down then that indicates his not too far from being Sushi food.

If you're using range, then just shoot the crap out of him.

hehe nvm i think i made a mistake

i use melynx helldoll with 40% crit, rapid flaming and 9 lvl3 crag, still couldnt kill a green plesioth.
timeout same with red khezu

where u get that sword?

u can make that sword when u get an 'ancient flatstone'.

azr lao, shen-gao drops them sometime. also it has a low chance to drop when mining from no.8, 6 and secret location at volcano g-rank quest. i think g-rank tower map 1 also got.

important: please dont simply use your ancient ruststone to make weapons. Go see some online guide on how to properly spam the stone for weapon u want.

now i have too much of those stones.. my item is full because of them

try gamefaqs mhf2 message board, inside got some topics which explains them..

ok here goes, copied and paste from gamefaq message board:

"if you have, say 5 ruststones - the game will pick a random number from 1 to 60, it goes down by 1 every time you either clear a mission OR polish a ruststone (doesnt have to turn into rusted weapon)

SAVE the game, then polish all of them, if none of them turned into anything, go do 5 more missions (assuming you have 5 ruststones)

repeat till your 5th ruststone turns into a rusted weapon, now do 4 more quests and you are sure to have a rusted weapon out of your first ruststone"

told you guns are useless without clusts
just bring 50 wyvern claw and sm bone husks
then you are good to go
even hr6 silver los cannot tahan 50clusts
