My previous tenant use my condo address to register maxis internet. Now she no longer stay there but she refuse to terminate her account. This result in my current tenant unable to register unifi using my condo address. Anyone experience it? What should I do with this case. Thanks very much for your suggestion.

I was informed by unifi agent that for condo only can have 1 line registered for each unit. That's the problem if she didn't terminate I cannot register other service provider.

You are the condo owner. Should be no problem to prove that the registered name is no more living there.

File a police report stating the matter
This might push the previous tenant to terminate his Maxis fiber

Hi all, may I check how you all solve this issue ya? Really need to ask previous tenant to cancel the Maxis Fiber first then only new tenant can apply a new one?

Why not include internet into the rental? Why dont cancel is most likely because of penalty. If no penalty then surely cancel.

BTW, I heard my colleague said some ISP got offer contractless. Got such things? She said TIME told her can choose contractless when signup just in case later move out before contract end. She wanted to move already but still havent cancel her TIME because of penalty.

some ISPS do offer

TIME does but the offer is really not compelling at all

The penalty to cancel TIME Fibre (100/500/1Gbit) is RM500 flat rate

The no contract upfront fee is RM400 for 100 and 500, and RM500 for 1Gbit

So if you were on 100/500, I suppose you get a RM100 discount, but you lose out on any rebates/promos/devices

just wondering.... since it seems your unit is already wired and still active, then your tenant just need to register for a new account, get new modem, and use new username and password for PPPoE, right?

or is it administratively-locked somewhere that only the prior PPPoE uid can use that line?

I got an owner of the maxis broadband called to suspend the account and I cannot use or switch to other service provider.
What should I do? he is not willing to cooperate and terminate at the centre, i.e its suspended indefinitely 😥
