aaahh this asus model naming is so confusing.. I'm not sure which is newer.. FX506 or FX516 ?

They're separate models.
FX506 is the TUF Gaming F15 model.
FX516 is the TUF Dash F15 one.

FX506HM is the i7-11800H + RTX 3060 variant.

Haha I have the same conflict before I gets my Nitro 5 11th Gen with Nvidia geforce RTX 30 series. After some research and reading this article here: https://www.laptopmag.com/features/acer-nit...us-tuf-dash-f15

i am also in the market for a laptop and considering the ASUS TUF FX506HM. So have you gotten yours yet? my budget is also around the 5-6k range.

i bought Legion 5 instead since it's better in performance vs price. it's Ryzen 7 5800H tho. I don't think there's any laptops currently with Intel 11800H so i just go with the Legion

I think their prices go up a lot.... do you know when they can drop price?
