I plan to use Bjak but not sure if its good or not in terms of pricing (bjak will take a cut since its a broker?)...

meanwhile heard etiqa is good because 10% online discount

How about pacific orient and liberty? are these 2 good? Any bad experience with these 2?

On Bjak website pacific orient is the cheapest, and liberty has the most freebies (including PA cover and medical insurance)

I believe tie 10% discount probably by all insurance companies. That is the agent commission.

I used Islamic based Takaful since you get refund if they make profit from insurance.

Takaful.

1. 10% discount for online application/renewal.
2. 10% cashback/refund, if no claims were made after 1 year. (Yes, Takaful will transfer 10% back into your main bank account.)
3. Fast insurance claim process.
4. Easy to cherry pick and add-on options for your car insurance in their website.

Overall, I will continue to renew with Takaful, if price is what you're after, you're getting a general 20% lower price than the competition.

Not necessarily true.

Kurnia vs Takaful

Kurnia is already 10% cheaper without the rebate. Also for the Kurnia it's Agreed value. I am not sure whether Takaful is agree or market value.

well, I also have this dilemma. If we don't claim then we don't have that headache. So end of the day depends on you taking the chances or not. Things like to buy windscreen or not, to buy agree value or market value, to buy from good service or not and so on.

I just moved all my cars insurance from Etiqa to PO for the Promilej program, saves quite a lot for those who are not driving much anymore due to this covid situation.

i using allianz. never claim before. the only service i used before is my car batt die, called the customer service, they send someone to help jump start the car in around less than 1hr. free of charge. whole procedure is smooth.

Had bad experience with kurnia. My sis-inlaw involved in accident (knock by big lorry) somewhere elite highway, called kurnia, took more than 6hours to send people to tow the car. Pity lady wait beside road with nothing nearby for few hours. raining that time, lagi kesian. I rush to the location after work, kesian she still need wait the tow car, and some people would appear out of no-where to offer tow car and she is scared also.

I don't think bjak is a car insurance provider? It's just a B2C platform to allow customer to compare prices across multiple insurance providers.

You did not include the additional 10% rebate (if no claims were made in 1 year).

RM535.07 - 10% after 1 year = RM 481.56 total.

Yup the saving from low limited mileage is perfect during this covid situation. On average I saved about 30-40% too on mine.

Just renewed with kurnia.. Price is cheapest for agreed value with windscreen coverage

Takaful not bad pricing. But weird windscreen coverage cos they set minimum amount is too high (more than rm2k) so when included, premium is too expensive

I stopped using Kurnia when they charged me RM100 for towing from condo carpark.
Just renewed recently with Etiqa Takaful (my 2nd year with Etiqa).

If go for Etiqa, there's now a drive less save more option

Only drawback is you have to upload your odo reading using their app every month
