So many cheaper option- yes
so many better option- no

as someone said, good no cheap, cheap no good. I had try various high end tyre and michelin ps4 is the best. its like a balance tyre, long mileage, grip and not too firm on sidewall.

not yet try Pirelli as price really out of my budget. but as of now my best tyre is michelin.
ya lor. had use re003, eagle f1, conti csc3, mc6 then use michelin ps4. the rubber is damn soft, and long lasting. conti rubber similar soft, but botak really fast too. similar driving pattern tho.

pirellis are quite good... above average performance... but average threadwear... good all rounder doesn't excel in any particular areas...

IMHO XM2 is overrated/overpriced.

not a bad tyre per se... just too overpriced in our market... not worth getting

My first michelin is michelin certis. That tyre damn long lasting. I got 100k km from that tyre. even beat goodyear duraplus which good year said can last 100k km. Rubber start harden at 70k km.

Other tyre such as gy gt3, excellence, nct5 all last around 60k km. Conti cc1, cc5, cc6 all crap last about 40k km only. And now use xm2+. Pay more over other brand. But this really last according to my last set of xm2.

If u ask me,does it overprice?. yes. michelin all line up, energy, primacy, sport all overprice. but I still bought it due to longevity.

sure

had xm2 long ago... quite long lasting... after 60% becomes noisy and harsh... but dunno about xm2+

had another michelin in the US also lasted 100k

had s1n2 about 80k now that can still go further... really like this tyre for its longevity, comfort n low noise

anyways on xm2+... my thoughts are simple... do I want 2 set of the same xm2+ for 200k mileage or try 3 sets of different tyres, for the same overall costs but with better overall performances over the 200k mileage, and far richer life experience

u got a point liao. but my personal preference, I hate visit tyre shop too frequently. last time got good deal, use falken ze912. but 1 year and half, gone already. price is good.quite cheap. same for other tyre too.

mostly I use for 4 and half years to 6 years.Yeah, can be quite boring if need to stick to 1 types of tyre. but it is peace of mind for me liao. personal preference lor.

1.5 yrs gone usually mean alignment kaput or wear too much due to set up for spirited driving... falken usually soft n comfortable, average lasting... even my uhp Pirelli lasted 2yrs that I set up for fast driving, could have lasted longer had I rotate n align more often but I wanna change it... lol

yeah a lot boils down to personal preference... how you drive, what car & tyre size, what you want from tyre, how long you wanna keep the car, etc... and there's nothing wrong just sticking to your proven tyre

one thing about Michelin's claim on p4 & xm2+ worn tyre can still have good braking... in their demo tyres they just shaved off the rubber... the rubber is still new n soft, hasn't been aged for 5+ yrs and driven for 80k... and they brought old used other brands for comparison... while it has deeper groves and probably is better, it's probably not as good as claimed... something to ponder, however I do recognize ppl just going for the long mileage claim...
