Iphone x is water resistant isn’t it ?
I dropped my phone in the water like less than 5 minutes and 30cm depth only, i thought it is water resistant then i didn’t really bother it.

After that the phone start giving some kind of malfunction signal, screen start flickering, keep on restarting, green line on the screen, true depth camera not working.

Then i search on the web on how to dry the phone, put it in in a warm air bag, and it it dry for a night. It comes back alive the next day, it was not able to boot up before today.

Tried to reset the phone and restore back, still not working the true depth camera, so i can’t use the face id.

Anyone experience this, how much is the cost of repair?

any electronics + water = faulty device

face ID camera is locked to the processor, if broken = no more face ID

plus how long is the phone ald, the water resistant seal will degrade over time

Water resistant & water proof has two different meanings.
