emino,

I want to share with you that i have discovered that their meal time can be bonding time as well..
Eating goes hand in hand with bonding..
When they are eating, place your hand to pet/stroke/groom them ..gently
Mine like it very much, they revel in my touch.. hehe
Best is place them in a bekas sth like this..
Just show ya a pic.

Whereas it's hard to make them be still when i wanna touch them .. it's possible during their mealies..
Isn't it nice if we can teach them "sit, boy" and they sit.. haha

spinel-sun,

Haha.. get to see Dydy, cute cute.. i notice soft tints of light grey on Dydy..

My dog has dog kibble.
My guinea has guinea pellets.
Even my torts have tortoise kibbles, the Mazuri..
But poor suggies.. don't have kibbles of that sort..for them.

Would you mind to tell me where you get the holistic kibbles and what brand is that and is it safe for gliders?
Holistic kibbles is it the same as dog kibbles? icon_question.gif

For both koochee n cheekoo, yes. Esp Koochee. Since i started trimming her nails, the nails seems to be more healthy.  flex.gif  hehehe...

Their nails had the tendency to get stuck on my carpets, my clothes when they get long. N when that happen to free themselves, they'll yanked it hard. I guess that was the problem with Koochee's nails before.

So now as soon as i notice the situation, i wud trim their nails. A lil bit only. So far, they are ok with it.

Silverwineus, as for rite now, they are separated. As i said, my bf wud take Cheekoo back to Penang. And he did. Last week. So now, only Koochee is with me. But i bet soon they wud be reunited. They seem to be depressed though we give them as much attention as we can. But we can see the diff. So, im taking Cheekoo back this CNY.
icon_rolleyes.gif

And....i wud be taking a new job in Shah Alam soon. So i think it wud be easier for me to get all the stuffs, supplement etc for my lovable suggies.... thumbup.gif
*
Don't be sad... cry.gif

Because you know what..

you will soon see Cheekoo, cuz your bf certainly will come back on 14 this month,

It's Valentines!! How can he not forget right?

Oooh.. you gonna work in Shah Alam eh? All the best!!!Yaay rclxm9.gif

Why suggies stuff is much accessible in Shah Alam? Any particular reason?

Anyway, as long as it benefits your suggie, go ahead, work in Shah Alam, hahahaha..

Btw, about the Shah Alam n suggies stuffs....ekceli...since i am currently in Kuantan-Kerteh...n i can hardly find any suggies stuffs available here....so Shah Alam is like a God's blessing for my suggies.

Heheheh.....i mean...i can always go n survey every petshop or vet available there in KL n Selangor. Hahahah....
N i know our frens in LYN wud give many recommendation...So, less worry. N easier for me to buy slurps or mixed from hun n reanne. Hehehe....n to order suggies stuffs from KP.

Yeah, not forget to thank God for such blessings.. as well as for peeps like Hun, Reanne and KP..

Speaking about slurp, can anyone here teach me how to make slurp...

I am eager to learn...

Is it you put blended ice, taruk ice kacang and sugar? hahaha

Well, it's not like a paid workshop or presentation, it's more of a gathering and sharing basic info only but at the same time creating awareness about the basic fundamentals of proper suggie care.

Ofcourse it would be good if we can get a proper researcher or vet to talk, but unfortunately we don't have any of those professionals about suggie here in Malaysia dear.

All we have are only dedicated owners to share about their experience and such...
You have experience with workshop previously? i think some preparation to do, like preparing things to put up, present.. i'm not very good with this thing.

KLCC parking sucks!

And before you say take LRT, for us/people with set-up or stuff to show, would be hard to carry it all via LRT right?

Pertaining to my plan of welding my own cage, thank God today i'm given a chance to do a hands on practise with guidance from my colig, one of the technicians.

It's a good and intresting training.

I'm on the way to finish this project of welding my own cage for my glidies..this year.

Below is a comparison of a good and bad weld..

A good weld will resemble "sisik ikan" whereas a bad weld will be like "tahi ayam", that's how i describe it..

Example of a good weld, p/s: ignore the senget portion.

About the poo recycling, yes, it does happen in many species of animals. Hamsters and rabbits you can commonly see this behaviour. In gliders not so pronounced but it does happen. Even in elephants! biggrin.gif If the animal eats it's own poo, it's to digest it again. If it eats an older individual's poo, it's to obtain the beneficial bacteria and other stuffs from it. If the animal eats poo lying around all the time, it's a habit you've got to curb.

But if the glider is eating poo excessively, then there may be something wrong.
*
About this eat-poo-thing, previously i thought only guinea, bunnies..recycle their poo and ingesting beneficial bacteria into their system, but what about tortoise eating guineas poo? rclxub.gif
Normally, when i see my torts behaving this, i will grunt at them..

thanks KP. anyway if i wish to keep my suggie in a small cage not till the saiz of a feet or 2... is it possible to make it happy.... i'm a luv pets but my environment sometimes seems to limit my capabilities to own 1.... use to have a pekingese but have to give it up to my uncle back after a few months of care from me....

thanks u so much for your attention anyway....
*
I don't think you should compromise on that as it's like compromising your gliders well being. As you have to understand that these creatures are kown to be gliding hundreds of feet in their natural habitat..
If your environment does not permit and you love pets so much, maybe you can develop your interest on that which is much suitable for you, like winter hamster, robovski, and so many different species..
As KP has mentioned previously, tiga kaki is minimum..

thanks guys... 3 feet meaning the height ?
well i heard we can feed them with millk? wat kind of milk ?
is it like those milk powder kinda or ?

thanks for ur sharing
*
Well i think cheekyd, you can keep one if you think you can't give them a large floor space, yet you can increase the height!!
Say, your floor space may be 1.5 x 1.5, but you can always have a height like 3.5 to 4 ft..
For gliders, height is more essential..
But you need to work out a DIY cage with such measurement.
If you have problem with DIY, some forumers may help..and give good suggestion..
Best still, if you come across your dream cage.. in stores.
Try to provide as much space as you can..

Only Pet Own Lactose Free is best for them, but milk is not necessary if your glider is fully weaned and at the right age.

No need to give an adult glider milk lor...
