Taiwan is the rising badminton power. with Japan, HK, Thailand and surprise entries from western countries. Maybe it is not simply the tradition or the rise of badminton heroes inspiring others, or the enlistment of great coaches that make differences as in the past. Perhaps it is the teaching of badminton through videos and analysis of mistakes and wins in these videos that have given rise changes to how players choose to play to give themselves a better result each time.Statistical and thorough re-analysis and deductions of how each situation should have been played to cut out bad habits, weaknesses and choices and train to overcome and use winning tactics for known positions, and training to be mobile and avoid being sitting duck victims of set kills to better trained players. It seems the Taiwanese secret edge is focussing on doing the winning thing. I wonder how much/intensely Malaysian players analyse and practise game situations from reanalysing videos. Need to use technology and continuous feedback improvement to develop better play and mental prep for situations and psychology training to handle stress and control emotions under stress instead of cracking up to play desperate shots.
