Weight will affect FC nonetheless. Mine is 3ppl (or 2) with always trunk full of bags, cloths, food & microwave oven. Lol.

I see. Probably you are avg on 130km/h or more , which is around 16km/L on highway. Try 110km/h and you'll get 18km/L.

whats wrong with the aircond?? my aircond is freaking damn cold. my temp is not even to the max and im alwyas on fan speed 1 only. night time worst, sometimes i just off aircond and drive with my windows down instead.

this is coming from a person who is afraid of heat and sweats easily.

need to know that if car got scratches then is better to send to toyota for painting or to send to normal workshop they can do d same painting quality???? which will be costly???? coz i need to modify and by the time to re-paint some scratch areas.... thx alot...

you know what? i actually bought the vios J together with 2 of my other friends, same batch, 2 of us get auto, one of them get manual. i've driven that friends manual one and its really fuuuuunnnnnn to drive, suddenly switch back to my auto felt very sluggish pulakz, ish...

Guys, sorry to barge in the middle of "fire sale offers" of new Vios.

I own a 2008 Vios (yes, the dugong). I'm wondering if anyone face similar problem with the driver seat. It often shrieks (annoying sound) when going thru uneven road surface. The SC Kuantan attempted it once (they said they re-grease the seat railing) but the sound came back. I also DIY with normal grease lubricant but the sound comes back after 5-10 minutes of driving.

Any idea? It's not a major problem la, but it annoys the hell out of me (esp after buying a darn 84K car).

i done my vios 1st service yesterday .

SC used mineral lubricant.

wanna ask expert here..
my milage every day is bout 100km (in town - jammed every day) ..

so at the 2nd and the following service, should i continue using the mineral for every 5k service or need to use semi-syn??

hi all, m driving a 2 months old vios j.
the last fuel pump was RM66 and the trip meter shows 490km.
that's about 13km/l right? pretty bad huh?

thinking of getting vios j Auto...what do u think.my purpose of getting this is bcoz i want to modify the car with the money saved from getting G spec.. G spec doesn't even have usb input to listen to mp3.

-rim to 15"
-upgrade HU
-put spoiler
-bodykit

S version is too expensive for me and out of my budget...i better buy the bodykit myself and it still cost less than S..

If I buy J spec, I will also change the RIM to bigger size la lightweight 16" 50/195width, HU player change to those better than the S-spec one la..Pioneer brand or what usb input oled display or bla bla. and put full body kit all round. Then go add 2 fog lamp in front, the side mirror signal light who cares la.. =) I think need about 3k-4k can complete the whole job. =) still comes to around E-spec price which i think the rim is super ugly, the player sucks and no body kit. the only part win is the side mirror signal light =))

One more thing, remember to remove the J logo at the rear boot ....    so no one gonna know it's J spec.

rear disc brake didnt mean anything...

rear drum brake also didnt mean dangerous... 

next upgrade is to add body kit..and don't forget to remove the J logo

People here in LYN mostly are Honda and Proton fanboy. Occasionally you will meet few *super* Toyota fanboy out of no where.

Fanboy aside, objectively, what are you going to compare?
- FC: 13~14km/L for city drive, 16~18km/L for highway drive. Brochure says it has avg 15.xxkm/L - no where you could achieve that if you whole time in city drive however, highway drive will get much better than that.
- Handling: Vios is stable & comfort enough, but not good with cornering @ 100km/h.
- Gadget: ViosJ is the roti-kosong of car. Good if those want to mod steering wheel & ICE. Rear seat is not foldable too. Super basic reliable car moving from A to B.
- Design: This is subjective. This you depend on yourself. Well, my round of friends says Persona, BLM and new City are fugly but they also say Gen2 is damn looking good. And just little of them don't like the new Vios look while most of my friend is Proton owner.
1. No idea. Vios E/G/S fog lamp on/off switch is integrated on the main lamp switch. J doesn't have that unless you add external switch below the right aircond vent.
2. Yes. Price=no idea.
3. No diff. 4AT gated shift.
4. With enough  $$$, yes you can mod drum to disc. But what for? You are not going to do ultra-late-braking skill every now & then.
5. .... no idea...
6. All color available - while, grayish blue, gold, silver, black.
