after 7 years of driving, i rarely use fog light and i don't understand why i need fog light other than cosmetic purpose.

It does not meant for the driver, but, for other drivers.

Today by 1030am i need to decide either Vios TRD or G spec...... the diff on monthly payment rm60....
alot of people said that with the 5k (diff between G and TRD) u can mod better than TRD.
But as i'am not a mod kaki, the only mod on my Vios E spec ( 3 years old-current car) v-kool tinted (applied on first day) and McD Drive Through  VIG sticker......hhahaha nothing more and nothing less......

So i'm now 80% TRD and 20% G spec.....
what i like on TRD, black interior, already equip with body kit,

Any suggestion from u guys???

Go for the TRD.

i had this problem after i sent my car for tinting. bad workmanship caused the soup solvent like chemical slips behind the dashboard. however, i usually will let the windows open when just turn on aircon. received some forward mail saying the 1st bunch of air when u turn on ur aircon is kinda poisonous. but the smell that i m experiencing nvr go away. though nvr try asking toyota to check. only thing i can guess for ur issue is the filter box behind the glove box. it can only happen if condensation happens inside the box.

on a 2nd note, i m quite pissed with the suspension/tyre noise after about a year driving this vios. it feels like my previous 20 year-old corolla. i wonder if this only happens to J or owners of E,G,S also experiencing the same issue.

another 2 problem i m having:
1. feels the front wheel vibrate when braking from about 80~100km/h. not brake as in sudden braking, but normal braking when u go down from slope.
2. some belt is starting to make noise when first start engine in the morning or in the evening.
hvnt go back to toyota coz the problem is intermittent.

I don't experience the tire noise. But, I do have the belt noise issue, and the problem started when my mileage is less than 30K.

Temporary solution: Switch off the air conditioner.

good to hear that you are all good with your VIOS J
well, maybe i am the unlucky one sad.gif
or maybe the expectation for me on a toyota vios is too high biggrin.gif

( after car service, try to go with top speed, when reach 175km/h and have some minor turn, the car is a bit shaky and i slow down the speed right a way, suspension is too soft can't hold it biggrin.gif )

overall still a good car. (beside the sound proof)
*
I am not sure about the shaky thing. But, from my experience my VIOS S (bought January 2008) can go up to 180km/h, without any problem.

At this speed, I found out that the car is more silent.

My only problem is that sometimes the belt produce sound when the engine is cold. As a temporary solution, the SC that I went to just applied some grease to it. However, it does not occur if the air conditioner is switched off.

p/s: I did not do any mod to this car. Not even change the sport rim. I like it as it is. The trip meter is now clocked at 33000km.

put grease should solve the problem. just do it occasionally.

I thought that this is only a temporary solution. Looking for alternatives.

may i know vios 2007 can auto lock the door after 2minute?

the salesman told me tat in case i forgot to lock the vios,he said vios will automatic lock the car after a while 1.this is to prevent thief go inside rompak ur thing.

the salesman last time demonstrate for me,but now i think something wrong with my vios dy cause cannot auto lock the door.

and here i did a 2 test:

1st test:
step no.1:unlock the car by pressing the button on the key.
step no.2:wait for 2minute like tat
step no.3:it will certainly lock the car automatic without pressing lock button on the key.

2nd test:
step no.1:unlock the car by pressing button,
step no.2:open door and close it back.
step no.3:wait for 2minute,
step no.4:cannot automatic lock the door.

So the question is,how to fix the 2nd test?cause it is annoying when i get down the car and i forgot to lock the door, and worry that theft will go inside my car rompak my thing~~

If I am not mistaken, after you open any door, the auto locking will not function anymore.
But, it will lock the car after move for a few seconds (please refer to the manual).

IMHO you have made a good decision.

It seems that most of the complaints (in this forum) came from the E and J owners.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
