ai..dunno la...he keep on promoting mineral oil....he said is still run in period so no use putting in Semi Syn for first 1000KM....i insist semi synthetic....he said ok..tell me RM115..but later bill come 80 plus..he said is semi synthetic...but nevermine la.as long as he dun over charge me..already put in..what to do....

but any side effect if first 1000KM only put Natural Mineral Oil?
*
Should not have any effect as you will be servicing again @ 5000KM. I used mineral oil for both my 1000KM & 5000KM service.
Will only start using either semi or fully synthetic oil on my 10000KM service onwards

101% voided. But what to do. I have been into ICE all this while so..... tongue.gif

But i insert only component set and sub with 2 amp.

1 amp put at the sub box another put under driver seat. Front passenger seat cannot put cause the jack is there.

For you guys info, the HU can be change ad. The cover is out but if not mistaken the color only in silver color. So if you have a S spec it would be weird to have a silver stucking out from you black datchbox.

The freaking part is when i test the sub (MTX 12'' X 2) the car rear steel shake so significant you can see it. I duno my sub too keng or wat but i got scare then i ask the mechanic to softer the frequency.

For S spec user you have the sound increase when you reach a certain speed (duno what its call). You can off it by setting your HU there.

Last thing is the original speakers will let you down. Our original battery is sufficient to put in a normal set of ICE without additional battery.
*
How sure are you that ur warranty will be voided. Did you check with service centre? Last i check at Sec 19 SC, they said that teh warranty will only be voided at the area of modification. EG: if change air filter the Throttle body area will be void of warranty.

should have tinted even before you collect your car..go through the salesman...meaning before you collect, everything done like mine...if this way..the tint shop will be more reliable since intro by salesman and they will be more careful because is a new car send by toyota salesman that not even collected by the owner yet....
*
Not really. My sales girl did my tint for me FOC. The quality not so good cuz can see some bubbles as well as where they cut the tint not that clean.

Not really. Dumb ECU just do A/F mapping. Try driving MyVi for a month vs a Vios for a month using different driving style (pedal metal vs sissy).
Highway, I'm getting 16~18km/L.
City, I'm getting 12~14km/L.

FC/Milleage includes flooring the pedal occasionally after toll.  brows.gif
*
Thats about my FC too on my Vios. Mileage 10k+

No la. I'm referring to the "new" Vios. Especially the "S" version. How can all the existing owner just tell their car fly kite and sell off?

Alternative car that's worth every single penny? Not many here..., since we get taxed to death by government. Buy used lor.

But some actually decent cars...

-Honda Civic
-Honda Jazz
-Nissan Sentra
-Nissan Latio
*
Among all the above list only Latio is compareble with Vios. Even then the Latio is more expensive then Vios by roughly 10k. hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

the stock tires only cost u rm140-150 , i change mine (E type) to XM1 last 2 month after 22 months using stock....
*
If u have been using your car for 22 months that means that your vios is the '06 model. Those models standard tyres are goodyear NCT5. The new Vios are all using Bridgestone Potenza. Thus more expensive to replace.

Guys,

Just ask some of my friend which operate car spray shops. I ask them to spray the underneath chassis and wheel arc with anti rust and sound deadening material. They are doing it and I will send my car there for sound proofing soon.

Then will also sound proof 4 doors with bitumen and foam materials...smile.gif Tideous job but DIY is fun and if the result is good then will be very satisfying...Anyone interested to do together???
Cheers

Whats the cost for the undercarriage sound deadening material?

Vios Sifus,

I would appreciate it if someone could offer some suggestions on Vios models.

After much debating (between City idsi and a Vios), seems that Vios is the way to go (according to relative's accounts).

But there's now 4 different specs (J, E, G, S).

J and E is like 10k difference. Whereas E and G are 5k in difference.

If I were trying to get the best value for money model. Which would you recommend and why?

Thx~!
*
To me, if you have the budget then go for either "G" or "S" spec. As for the difference just read the back of the sales brochure & ypou will be able to see the difference

I'm planning to trade in my old and buruk Wira with a Vios or City.

My Wira nowadays drink petrol like he11, I pump petrol until I'm scare.  vmad.gif

So changing it to Vios or City is my only option now.

Ofcourse no~ All Toyota cars (those retailing in toyota showrooms) are assembled and imported from Thailand~
*
Vios & avansa are assembled in malaysia at their perodua factory. Only the higher models are imported.

air master not good arr? heard its fiber..i want to pasang airmaster..but lookin for ABS type which is TRD think

Airmaster is Fiber Reinforced Plastic. Most body kits in Japan are using this material. If you want ABS then you can either go for TRD / TOMS / OEM style.
