2. Usage
# internet multi-tab browsing
# microsoft office
# zoom, webex, google meet calls
# a bit of torrenting for watching movies/series

3. Requirement (display size, battery life, weight etc)
# around 14"-16"
# decent battery life (8 hours I guess)
# has a numpad
# around 2kg or less
# 8GB RAM
# mainly for writing up docs/pdf
# gaming is not important

2c4t i3 CPU, I'm not so sure about this one...will it be slow with an i3?

usage: gaming (genshin, apex), 1080p video editing, college use

prefer if it has 16gb or 8gb upgradable ram,
screen size: dont care
quiet and efficient thermals if possible at this budget, probably not

was looking at ideapad gaming 2021 but it sold out
can wait until 2022

Need your guidance to buy a laptop for my brother who is starting university next month pursuing diploma in software enineering.

i guess for software need to run some applications related, so probably need laptop with good specs? with graphic cards?

the budget is around RM4k.

If I were to up the budget to 2.7k, would I have better options?
