is MSI prestige 15 a good model for budget below 4k?

Storage: 512 SSD or 1TB HDD

Hi there. Need some recommendation which laptop to buy. I need one for my daughter for her PDPR. I gather from this thread and the previous version, that there's no decent model for sub 2k, so I wonder if sifu's could tell tell me better model for price 2-3k

Need it for PDPR only. She's not into gaming but she likes picture editing sometimes video. Battery life not that important for now. Any screen size would be ok.

I don't mind waiting up to a month. Non upgradable is ok. But it would be great if you can let me know which laptop I should go for if I don't mind waiting longer-perhaps 2-3months

Finding a laptop to bring to Australia for the first few months, need it to survive quarantine and first few months there

- Battery life & weight: Flexible, but preferably good battery life & light weight (mainly use at home, seldom bring it around - maybe once a month)

Initially budget RM3k, but seem 3k not possible to get dedicated GPU

a) Camera issue;
b) Poor customer service;
c) Slow delivery which could take up to 16 weeks!

What about ThinkPad L15 AMD or ThinkPad L15 Gen2 - build your own (intel or AMD)? Any comments on these?
