erk...... actualy gps map were much better. there have calculation of ur distance u plan to go. recommendation of route to take.

yeah.. google map can also calculate distance and recomend route. but the road maps are more detail.

went to proton show room , they said instead of giving captor , they give gps coz captor salah quote harga to proton thats why making long long delivery

i try this thing this morning...hehehe, i think that this is a really useful thing/gadget to have considering that it comes free with the Persona.

the map is considered 90% accurate...even though it is very cartoonish looks. i am staying very far near morib area, but surprisingly it even pinpoint my location exactly at my house...with all the lorong mentioned on the screen. hmmm...nice. while driving to work, it shows all the road at my area which i never knew existed.

in addition, the GPS unit can be used to view movie (stored in SD card), listen to mp3 and even view any jpg image...

conclusion...a very valuable gadget to have.

wahh ...if the gps can play movie, mp3 & jpg, than I won't mind getting it than CAPTOR. does the GPS has earphone connector & hows the resolution when playing movie? does it look sharp or just ok2 only?

em nice item.. multifunction one.... is other gps brand also like tht? good item they giv there as persona audio unit same as gen2, cannot replace with aftermarket stuff.. eh btw, if our HU is damaged or spoiled when using for too long, how to find new one eh.... acc cars doesnt sell this type rite? hav to go to proton also to buy it?

that gps unit that proton gives wit the persona looks a bit cheapo n not very user friendly.. since satnav is already a common option for many carmakers 2day, y not proton put a proper one in their cars?? u know, the one like built in 2 the dash, wit proper screen n all.. i know its gonna be an expensive option, but im sure many people out there, such as me, would think that a gps unit is very useful 2 em..

according to the user manual, this unit can support asf, wmv, mpeg and avi, but one of my avi file kenot play ler.... the screen, hmmm...just ok only lah. the photo viewer also just okay only... mp3, well it plays the music !.

this unit got earphone connector, so u can use ur earphone as u wish. retail price is around 1.9k.

It would be better if Proton give users choice on any unit that they prefer.. Either the GPS device or .. Captor

juz change the avi to mpeg, sure can play... avi got many compressed format, not all player supports it...
