hello all, i been driving persona baseline for 2 days now.. so far,
first 100km,
- engine hood and the side panel is damn hot after driving..too hot even for short trip. the radiator+aircond fan seems to be working too hard (always on, high speed).
- burnt smell on exhaust fumes and engine bay, like rubber and metal
- the loud aircond sound is the radiator/aircond fan sound. seems like theres only 1 fan sharing for both. normally for 1 fan type, it comes with dual speed right? but mine seems to be running high all the time. the sound is noticeable loud if hear from outside the car. the wind generated by fan is also strong as hell, so i figured engine running temp is too high? anybody can confirm this?

- took me a while to understand the aircond controls.
    - the MIN and MAX - if you want cold temperature, turn to MIN. its MIN and MAX Temperature guys, not MIN and MAX COLDNESS.
    - the recycle air button. when press, lights on, means AIR is recycled not the other way round.

- the FC meter is great. after pump in rm50, first it is showing 14-18km/l. drove till empty. 2nd time pump petrol, 11-14 km/l

i find it have to less stopping power. could it be the long body and high rear that cause it? (remember, front absorber can help car with stopping power.)

i dunno how gen2 or neo sound like..but to me its rather soft...i have to mute in order to listen....and sometimes i dunt even know im signalling...perhaps need time to get used to...no big issues...

changed my rims today...lookinggg gooodddd......ill post some pics maybe soon....

nope..still not corrected..they only corected the rattling driveshaft sound...

yup...the sound only can hear when bumpy roads...its like a loose plastic box sound from the driver side dasboard panel or from engine compartment....only this issue left and will be brought up during my 5k service...currently doing about 2k already on my car....

the newer gen2 is more solidly build but aihz, the interior features is so minimal

i thought the car chassis already stiff as it is?
why would we need extra bar? for aesthetic?
the only limitation/improvement needed for this car (in terms of handling) is the tires. this morning i corner till tyres were screeching slightly. then i know my limit.
no offence but the front suspension are suppose to bend. whole lot of work were done to have a correct and acceptable balance of stability, comfort and durability.
but thats the whole point of suspension tuning isn't it? for customization. adding stabilizer bar is one of it.

yeah i agree...my persona now is quite "season" already...feels pretty smooth...sounds pretty smooth...suspension also getting more feel...brakes getting better...no more sounds from the boot...guess the man and machine bonding is already there...hehehe...

doing 4700kms already...2nd service coming up soon...

its been 3 days since i change from Shell to Petronas fuel....

ive always been a Shell fuel supporter...been using ONLY shell for the past 7 years...my satria feels better with Shell....

but for the Persona...i think its better with Petronas...is it just my psychology or for real...im not sure....i somehow feel more response and power...but the FC i will find out soon....if its the same..then i guess ill make the permanent change to Petronas......then shell will be losing out atleast RM700 a month from me...heheh.
