I am looking for non stick frying pan; not the teflon coating type.
Maybe granite coating type will be better.
Size around 28cm
Any recommendation / experience sharing from experts here?
Thanks.

Actually, coated pans are quite good nowadays. You pay a reasonable price and you can get a decent one.

Get any pan with Teflon Professional coating. Build really tough, at least safer without any of those coating flaking off.
But I still change it after few years of heavy use. Only my cast iron or carbon steel pan last forever. Don't like stainless steel pan, they are not fast enough. |

Get those from Ikea with 6 stars Teflon coating, they are pretty good and durable.
If you want healthy option, cast iron and season the pan frequently. Any specific coating that you felt is harmful were marketed as healthy, the same goes to ceramic type. |

QUOTE(zack1919 @ Jul 14 2021, 02:54 PM) cast iron pan not coated Oven is just the easy way. You can season the pan fine just using the burner. Get it to smoking hot, coat in oil and wipe clean.but quite messy to jaga ps: you need a big ass oven that could fit your entire pan inside to jaga it (aka season it) |

Opposed to carbon steel/cast iron which actually getting more non-stick with proper care & seasoning. One thing I'm pretty sure is as long u cook at home, your foods are miles heathier than what u ate outside as you do not know what utensils they use "coating peeling pan being used, recycle oil, cleanliness and etc" This post has been edited by zero5177: Jul 14 2021, 03:57 PM |

Just got this last week. So far so good, so easy to clean until can just use kitchen towel to wipe. But it's 26cm
https://shopee.com.my/NEOFLAM-INTEGRATED-CO...4071.1514351073 Another good brand to consider is Carote, they have 28cm https://shopee.com.my/Carote-Essential-Wood...0029.7057152572 I think the most important thing with non-stick pans no matter the brand is you have to jaga them (no harsh abrasive cleaners) and coat them properly before you start using so that they can last. If you bought Tefal teflon or ceramic pan, use only wooden/plastic spatula. To wash it soak with water 1st and pavoid steel wool or hybrid sponge.
Zebra stanless steel so far is the best for me. and ori kuali cap buaya |

Buy any cheap no stick pan. Pour oil like you always do for deep frying. Let the oil in the pan for days, and then remove the oil without washing using soap.
Tadaaa. You get a seasoned pan like those expensive ones. |

QUOTE(janisu @ Jul 14 2021, 03:57 PM) Just got this last week. So far so good, so easy to clean until can just use kitchen towel to wipe. But it's 26cm How can coat it?https://shopee.com.my/NEOFLAM-INTEGRATED-CO...4071.1514351073 Another good brand to consider is Carote, they have 28cm https://shopee.com.my/Carote-Essential-Wood...0029.7057152572 I think the most important thing with non-stick pans no matter the brand is you have to jaga them (no harsh abrasive cleaners) and coat them properly before you start using so that they can last. |

steel wok is the best lah.
if it releases substance, that is iron and your body can absorb. learn how to season it using potato skin and salt. |

If you cook a lot and want to invest really good pan. I would like to recommend Le Creuset non stick pan. I'm using their non stick pan and pot. Can get in 1 Utama mall. ceo684 liked this post

If your food sticks, that shows that you don't know how to cook yet. Get your iron/steel pan up the right heat and wait for the leidenfrost effect to happen. kermit21 liked this post
