i match my saltist40 wit a cheapskate lemax 20-40 rod for bottom purpose.. for jig duno la, next week kasi lu feedback, tonite gua gonna test it at shipwreck he he

saltist equivalent to a poor man saltiga. Saltiga should be compared with trinidad while saltist should be compared with torium or tekota.

personal review.. saltist tarpau torium in term of built quality, coz saltist purely metal body not like torium with graphite side plate. In term of gears, torium smoked saltist kau kau, torium/tekota mia gear damn 9 smooth... i guess that's whut shimano famous for... smooth gear !

ehehhe sifu vw.. u can bungkus lu mia abu6500 if u wunna play bottom... imagine rigging a no24 lead sinker on that thing...

edit - btw any jalan to get live bait such as anchovy and prawns ar ?

hahhaa too extream meh ? erm one sho0t buy medium setup coz dowan invest too much on jig setup, furthermore that setup can be used on bottom also hehehe

the rod rating might be pe5/24kg but it's quite slim and light macam those 20lbs rating mia rod...
last nite tested the rod, .. heheh a sub 1 kilo kaci can bend the rod leh

just back from linggi trip last nite only .. very poor catch..maybe due to icy cold water... fish all hibernate we only landed 2 angjo and a bunch of kaci, gelama n timun.

Most prolly next month for another trip and will let you know when there's extra space for saturday trip. As for weekdays sure no problem mia. The boat is anchored all the while as we fish.

and we do hav light, 2 day light pendaflour.. no worries, you can tie your hooks n chor di at nite =)

Saturday nite depend on availability, that one i really cant confirm.

As for costing, RM100 per pax (inclusive simple dinner n lunch) if tag along with the boat owner.. if rent direct from tekong that one i'm not quite sure maybe 400-600 range per nite.
