Hi,

Planning to purchase Microsoft Surface Product for the first time.
Would like to know the experiences faced when sending it for warranty or repair.
Most probably buying through Sen Heng and adding the extended warranty.
Been using Dell Next Business Day on-site service and want to know how it compares.

Thanks

Calling Microsoft support is one of the best experience I had with any manufacturer.

I'm an owner of a Surface laptop. Little over 1 after purchase, I noticed the battery was expanding. They keyboard is pushed up by battery and I cannot close the lid. At this time, my warranty is over.

I gave support a call and they patiently listen to my issue. They asked for some photos as proof and I gladly provided. Knowing my system is no longer covered by warranty, they seek approval for a replacement anyway. It was approved within 1 day.

A brand new laptop was shipped to me via FedEx the very next day. They continue to call me the next day until I have everything running again. I ask how to return the old laptop. They say please dispose of it responsibly.

Really first class service.

Just to add. Surface products are not serviceable/up-gradable. If there is anything wrong, it is going to be a 1 to 1 swap.

non-responsible manufacturer..... from surface laptop 3 onwards it allows for at least battery (& ssd) replacement

You mean no more 1-to-1? if surface laptop 3 & above battery faulty, they replace only battery?

Doing a search in forum, I notice many people selling their Surface Pro 7.
in terms of issue, only few mention about the "Autoshutdown Issue".
Any reason for the mass sell off?

Thanks
