Kibar bendera merah untuk bantu haiwan peliharaan



Kuala Lumpur: Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia (Animal Malaysia) terus komited membela nasib haiwan dengan melancarkan Kempen Kibar Bendera Merah, hari ini.

Presiden Animal Malaysia Arie Dwi Andika berkata, inisiatif itu bertujuan membantu pemilik yang terkesan akibat pandemik Covid-19 mendapatkan bantuan untuk haiwan peliharaan mereka.

Menurutnya, langkah itu juga diambil kerana berlakunya peningkatan kes pembuangan kucing dan anjing peliharaan ke jalanan dalam tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP).

"Pembuangan haiwan berlaku kerana pemilik tidak mampu untuk terus memelihara kucing dan anjing peliharaan mereka kesan faktor ekonomi.

"Akibatnya banyak kucing dan anjing terpaksa dihumban ke jalanan sedangkan haiwan itu sudah lama dipelihara, malah menjadi sebahagian keluarga mereka.

"Akhirnya kucing dan anjing yang dibuang ke jalanan mengalami kecederaan, trauma, penyakit berjangkit dan mati kerana tidak dapat menyesuaikan dengan keadaan sekeliling," katanya ketika dihubungi Harian Metro

Menerusi kempen yang diketuai pengurus projek, Ashraf Ariff pemilik haiwan peliharaan hanya perlu mengibarkan bendera merah sebagai isyarat kepada penduduk sekeliling yang mereka memerlukan bantuan.

Arie berharap, kempen itu mendapat sambutan dan menyeru semua masyarakat memainkan peranan dengan prihatin terhadap masalah jiran terutama yang mempunyai haiwan peliharaan seperti kucing dan anjing.

Menurutnya, sikap ambil peduli dengan bertanya khabar keperluan bekalan makanan untuk kucing dan anjing jiran secara tidak langsung akan membantu individu terbabit menghadapi tekanan ekonomi dalam tempoh pandemik Covid-19.

"Keprihatinan masyarakat sekeliling sebenarnya membantu mengatasi masalah pembuangan kucing dan anjing di jalanan sekali gus mengekang masalah kezaliman haiwan akibat tekanan perasaan pemilik yang terpaksa memikirkan keperluan hidup untuk kucing dan anjing peliharaan mereka.

"Semua masyarakat di seluruh negara diharap menyertai kempen ini demi kelangsungan nasib dan hidup kucing dan anjing daripada menjadi mangsa pembuangan haiwan.

"Kebersamaan kita semua menyelamatkan banyak nyawa daripada terseksa dan mengeratkan lagi hubungan serta sifat kasih sayang dalam kalangan masyarakat," katanya.

Fish shop is opened.

Last week I bought a few Bettas (fancy koi, blue samurai, super red, mg) and 10 neontetras for my bigger tank.

My fishes mated and gave birth. It was like hundreds of them.

Just tilapia and batin only.

Was wondering why there was so much foam in my pond. 1 week later they pop up like fish fries.
