wanna ask smth, when i bought my ipod touch rite, the seller also gv me a X-cess music card which is claimed to contain rm 500 credit inside. I was wondering whether i can use those credit to buy to applications in itunes?

But my winterboard working just fine.

Maybe there's an update already when u get it done
previously cant work on 2.0.1 i'm glad it's fixed..no time to try it yet

well there's some difference btween 2.0 with 2.0.1..
the obvious ones are the batt life..for some reason 2.0 drains our batt..
Apple rush 2.0 too quickly and there's some bug with wifi..you can test it in zibri's blog and the ipod will crash eventually..

hi ivan, do you have an iTunes account?

if you wanna extract your files u can use Open SSH and Terminal..it's under Cydia..

yes i do have that acc but i still cannot install those games...

1) Open ur Itunes
2) Go to "store" at the top left hand side
3) Click on "Authorize Computer"
4) Click " Yes" when a message board pops out
5) Happy installing all the applications ^^

Hi boss,

I jailbreak my ipod touch yesterday. And i noticed that there are 8 applications in cydia able to update, so i pressed update all in the cydia on my ipod touch. but then my Ipod touch jus stucked there, i mean hanged and i hv to reboot my ipod touch. What should i do? Can i restore my ipod touch to the original firmware? can teach me how to restore it coz this whole jailbreak process gv me a very bad impression Don't feel it using it.

It's a normal if your ipod touch hangs.You need to upgrade one by one.
Why la so
Anyway ..cydia is way better than the installer tho.

Is it normal? i tried it for 3 times ady also hanged, then i try to upgrade one by one, same result. It really pissed me off. Cydia is better than installer? I thought when u jailbreak ur ipdo touch, u will hv both of the applications one?

Ya..But i think cydia is way better than installer tho.
Even i install one by one ,it will hang also ..Same here.
I think that's normal?I noticed something when everytime when it hangs.
There's this application start with the capital C something...It always hang there.Seems that couldn't download or whatever.

Well..For firmware 2.0 right..still don't have the installer thingy.
YOu need to download the installer package and do it manually through SSH.
But the latest firmware 2.1 has both cydia and installer in it.
So i think it's a good thing.

And i get to play free Crash tag team racing on my i pod touch for free.
Just need to download it and do it manually SSH.

erm, May i noe where to dl the Open SSH thingy and how to use it to transfer stuff into my Ipod? I dled one SSH thingy called "putty" but dunno how 2 use it. Newbie + computer illiterate here.

you can download with Cydia under Featured apps..After downloading Open SSH you must download Terminal also..
In order to transfer stuff to your iPod you must have an active wireless connection at home..
Download WinSCP from here http://winscp.net/eng/download.php and install the program into your PC..
After installing, open the program. Under host name you must enter your wireless IP address..which can be found in your iPod..go Settings --> Wifi ---> 'Connection Name'
Username = root and password = alpine. Leave private key file blank and select protocol as SCP.
click login after you complete these steps. Click 'Yes' if something pops up asking you confirm to connect or smtg like that

now Open your Terminal in iPod and type ssh root@'your ip address' example (192.168.1.3) and if they ask whether you wanna connect just enter 'yes'
then type password (alpine)

after completing these steps you can browse your iPod with WinSCP and copy files into your iPod. Enjoy.

Yeah. the 1st few steps are okay, but everytime when i reached the step where i hv to key in the password in my ipod touch. When i type in the password alpine, nth appears on the screen.......

u try to type 'dottie' as password see can or not?

em, after i entered the password and everything at computer there, when i enter the terminal application at my ipod touch, it shows smth like this

Js:~ root#

so i keyed in ssh root@my ipod IP address and hit return, then it shows
root@IP Address's password:

at that part, whatever alphabet i press on my ipod touch, nth comes out on the screen, but if i hit the return button, the Js:~ root# thingy appears again ~.~ Haha, Headache headache.
