nice mod.

but the bottleneck isn't at the intake but on the cpu cooler…push pull setup on cpu cooler might give better temp compared to extra 2 intake fans.

intake fan helps a lot when direct blow to gpu.

advice to other 8940 users, mod the cpu cooler to noctua u9s or d9l is very sufficient already, then use the original cpu fan to replace the original exhaust fan then you are good to go. because if not mistaken the cpu boost time around 28s and can't be adjusted in bios…unless u use intel XTU or other 3rd party software like ThrottleStop to remove the boost time limit.

best cpu air cooler for 8940 i guess is soon to be launched thermalright silver soul 135, current available model should be thermalright tr-ta120 ex mini, thermalright ak120 mini, thermalright ts120 mini and it seems plug n' play out of the box.

Just asking, have you used this on xps 8940, and how much temps have dropped compared to Noctua?
