Do not mistake PPF and tint. They are 2 different product. I am not surprised if some company sell tint as PPF. So at RM100-150, it is definitely tint or cheap PPF.

PPF have 2 type, made with PVC and made with polyurethane (PU). Those made with PVC are cheap and will turn yellow. Those made with PU will not turn yellow so easily (again depend on it's quality).

PPF mainly is to protect against stone chip. I am not sure how well it will last in terms of making the headlamp go yellow or if it will darken like tint.

I just installed mine PPF (cheap) few weeks ago. Later will install the PU type in another car. My DIY experiment on headlamp restoration.

I have also one done spray clear coat and so on. Only time will tell how each perform.

If your concern is just turning yellow or dull, just get it restored with 2k clear paint (or colored) when it's dull. Every car already comes with factory seal on the headlight.

Edit; another example from my research, Oraguard is a famous PPF brand sold in Malaysia. Among the many models they sold, there are 270 and 280. Model 270 is PVC base and model 280 is PU based. However, online is only selling model 270. I am not sure if this apply to outside shops where they only use model 270. So if you are paying high price for PPF, make sure they are using PU based material and have warranty against turning yellow.
