Looks good really. Basically just Windows 10, with smoother animation, rounded corners, new icons and a new soundpack. Will test most of it out tomorrow on the latest build.

So all the essential apps I usually use are working fine on Windows 11.. even the latest games I've played works without issues either. So far pretty smooth little to no problems at all.

I had one issue where I first installed it tho at the start. Windows 11 works fine, but after Windows Update on the settings with all the latest update.. it restarted a few times, and just stop updating and just give me a black screen laugh.gif Good thing pressing the reset button actually didn't mess things up, and updated just fine after.

Two other issues that I noticed that really bothers me is that when I click the clock on the bottom right corner of the taskbar...sometimes the calendar/notification will crash, so does the taskbar icons and etc and restart.. this happened frequently for me probably 10 times now or more, but is a minor issue for me.. The other issue that bothers me is that I can't rename my desktop for some reason.. Clicking rename doesn't allow me to rename it at all lol..

Now to use it for a few weeks and see if all is good. After that will try it once or twice a month going back and forth with Windows 10 which is still my main system. Just in case Microsoft mess things up...and then most likely migrate to 11 when it's official out to the public permanently.

The notification crash is new bugs in latest beta 3, build 22000.71 and I already feedback to Microsoft.

No such issue on Beta 2 and 1.

Even widgets doesn't work for some reason.. Not loading and crashing. Besides that haven't encounter other issues,

For widget, so far so good to me, didn’t facing any crash issue.

You know when first click the widget it starts loading stuff right.. Mine just tried to load and then it will just crash lol. Which is a bit funny because it was working fine before. It's alright I guess since I probably won't be using it much when retail is out, even when it is fixed.

Can you take some screenshot, I don't get what you mean.

Basically the windows border.

It doesn't happen for full size windows, only appear when you use snap windows. For users using dark mode, if you use light mode instead, the border is black which isn't so noticeable. Rip dark mode users like me who has OCD mega_shok.gif

I've also just gotten a bug where, there is just a transparent border of windows on the desktop.. and I can't see the desktop laugh.gif Easily fixed by clicking the "Show Desktop" on the taskbar tho.

How come your corner is not rounded, what build are you at.

This is not full screen, no border as you mentioned and corner is rounded.

It's not rounded when you snap between 2 windows. It's the latest build.

Also the app in questioned is Discord and Whatsapp for desktop. It might just be because most apps aren't update for Windows 11 yet maybe idk. Or the issue is an isolated case, but i've seen people complaining about it as well on reddit.

Just encounter an issue where I can't right click or even left click on my mouse. A restart fixed it, but man... laugh.gif

I didn't face the issue for WhatsApp in dark mode. It is rounded when not in full screen also since Beta 1.
Discord I didn't use, no idea.

Did you use the snap layout feature or not. Have a look if you never use it before, because I always use it. It's never rounded when you snap, it will remain sharp in the corners like old Windows. Idk if it's just me but I'm looking at other users who use it as well and it's not rounded either.

You mean below this?

Now I get what you mean and the Snap Layout is not support under WhatsApp.

When you point over, nothing is pop-up for let you select layout in WhatsApp.
You still can snap in by pointing others support app 1st and yes the corner is not rounded. sweat.gif
Probably because of not actual support, so it is not rounded and impact others app that join together.

I still prefer PowerToys as it can control by keyboard to snap in and use own preferable window size. I seldom use Windows 11 Snap Layout.

Yeah and you can see the border lines too using it. So I end up resizing the windows on my own to remove it. Well for the snapping is easy just drag to the left side of the screen and it will snap left, or drag the window on right side of the screen it will snap right, besides using the snap layout. Just a handy way of resizing windows for me, which I've been using ever since Windows 10 came out.

I had fun testing Windows 11 for a while, but I'm back to Windows 10 for now, probably until I know that most games will run smooth without any issues. Atm there is still games running problems, like getting frame drops and also causing weird behaviors to other apps while a game is running and what not. Not an issue with I revert back to Windows 10 at least.

I've also had a weird bug where file explorer would just crash when I was busy transferring a huge amount of roms for my retro games, from one drive to another, and also the sd card. It would just crash and restarts back up, sometimes it would just freeze for a bit.. and other times it would not just crash file explorer and restart, but the other Windows component also crashed and restarted like the taskbar, search and etc.

It's still in developers preview so it's fine, I get it. Now i'll just wait for it to be stable, has more native support and also developers getting into it to optimize their apps to work better on Windows 11. Probably won't get it on launch, but I'll be curious one it comes out, and will be checking what others have to say about it overall.
