It will but latest news is Microsoft allow you install via ISO for not meet requirement PC. They later also correct they will let you download cumulative update until next build and they will not provide you next build update. (probably another half year later)

I'm using home edition, I read Win 11 requirements is must encrypt and use MS account. Home edition it will store the key in cloud, pro edition can choose whether not to store the key in cloud.

I read is Pro edition supposed can choose where to store the key.
Your laptop also have Modern Standby function?

Maybe a lot device also have been auto encrypted when they upgrade to Win 11 but didn't realize it. I also didn't realize until some driver update that might caused secure boot to be disabled and it prompt to enter the key.

Ya I think maybe also a good thing to have it encrypted since portable device have much higher chance to go missing, don't want someone else get access to my data.

MS another try after the not so great Connected Standby in Win 8.
Basically it let the device sleep with the least amount of power usage but still can perform email retrieving and such.
I rarely use it, usually just hibernate it if not using the laptop.
All my data is in the cloud at my home. In laptop is mirror and sync back to cloud.
Maybe used to from yesteryears where don't have backup and last time Windows not stable, something might go wrong and it won't boot, have to reinstall Windows again, so need to copy the data to another device first before format and reinstall.

I got also install at my old laptop that is not in support list which running Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz and GPU Intel® HD Graphics 530 + Nvidia GeForce 970M with 16 GB RAM + SSD. It is smooth but I still can feel it is not what Windows 11 suppose buttery smooth as it should when I compare with my New PC running AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70GHz and GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 with 32 GB RAM + NVMe SSD.

Once you see how Windows 11 perform in New PC spec, then you will know actually it is not buttery smooth in older spec especially those not meet the requirement spec.

- In my new PC, everything include new design apps like Photo, Clock all open instant, no waiting. The File Explorer in dark mode is instant appear and not showing the clip of white.
- In my old laptop, everything need 2 to 3 seconds to open. Those new design apps like Photo, Clock need 3 to 4 seconds to open.  The File Explorer showing a clip of white and icon load up later in 1 to 2 seconds.
