I have no idea why people tend to keep saying marble & furniture sound are all from ghosts. YOU'RE THE GHOST.

I have been disturbed by neighbors from one place to another and I can tell you all these are caused by bastards.

Previously was the worst , every single night, downstairs neighbor who has 3 toddlers non-stop playing screaming and shouting in the room I can hear them clearly, and yet they dont admit, and they doing it on purpose cause we have been complaining for so long. They know we hear them and yet keep doing still, then the parents also nonstop dragging the chairs until we cannot tahan then moved out. We had been disturbed them for 5 freaking years, even reported to police.

Then currently this new place, I'm already at 2nd highest floor, yet the stupid upstairs neighbor, 2 chinese 2 indians, renting rooms, each of them have 1 dining chairs for their "work station". Imagine they everyday nonstop walking already causing heavy footsteps noise, dont know why can ppl walk so loud like elephant, keep pushing and dragging the chair when they get up or sit down.

Oh, they also like to move the chairs everywhere, into the room etc, and they dont sleep, saw them cooking during 3AM too. Dont freaking tell me it's ghost cause all these doings are by freaking human. Especially got visitors. Not to mention also, recently they vacuum after 12AM.

Complaint them several times, bodoh punya lansi owner came tell us, "aiya the flooring of the building is very thin, is like that one, got ppl stay sure got noise. We use office chair got wheel one leh". The first time when got noise I already went up talk to them nicely saw them using all dining chairs, still wanna lie.

At last, quiet for a month, asked them to use the felt pad for their chairs, then immediately told us they have bought the felt pad, but then after a month, the noise came back. So they lied, never buy at all. Wow, but at least not as noisy before, but still I'll monitor, I have a feeling they will be noisy again.

Like that I disturbed other neighbors as well

Totally feel you, now I'm not sure what to do, just moved into this new place with 2 years tenancy, didnt know will have bastards again

Tried talked to them f2f, complaint to management, called security guard, also talked to the owner (turns out to be their friend). All useless

I totally agree with what you say, ghost my ass, all these are done by human. And yes my current place is rumahwip, the flooring is thin. Upstairs prick say "got ppl stay that's why got noise ma", but no one ask u to keep dragging the chair for nothing.

Jokes on you, why does the so called "water hammer sound" comes from the ceiling instead of the walls? Why does the so called hammer water sound, can move from living room to bedroom?? And why do I hear footsteps followed by the dragging noise? Cause it's a freaking chair la! Use some common sense la , MOST BORING ANSWER - WATER HAMMER SOUND. They use the toilet I also can hear, how come when they use the toilet I dont hear any so called water hammer sound? Seriously it's damn dumb answer, just because you people dont experience this doesnt mean it's not. And yes, my upstairs neighbor knowing it will annoy us so they do it on purpose.

LOL, we are educated people and we think for other ppl's sake, we dont drag the chair, instead we lift it up, we do things softly we don't slam the door etc, we dont vacuum at 12am onwards and we dont walk loudly like elephants. If yes, my downstairs already come complaint me. Cause my upstairs is indeed super duper noisy. Usually at night we just lay on the bed on sit on the sofa watching tv / scrolling on phone, we dont freaking make noise, so i wonder what kind of people get super active at night like them. I even woke up in around 3am and they are still doing stuffs and cooking cause I saw it. And walking nonstop throughout the day dragging chairs all.

People be saying water hammer sound cause you never experience it, I even went up confronted them and it's their freaking chair make noise and they completely ignored us and do it still, if moving out is easy, then this kind of post wont even exist. Nowadays all these high rise buildings soundproof is extremely bad. So yea, people who experience it like us can only just rant it. I know how a water hammer sound sounds like from my previous condo, a chair is a chair.

Correct, we too noticed that older apartments/condo flooring are thicker, i've stayed at 1 too previously, couldnt really hear loud noise from neighbors, nowadays the noise not only coming from upstairs, but also downstairs neighbors. What to do ... move to anywhere also same, just hope the neighbor is quiet only.

Exactly!! I'm so sick of the chair dragging sound! Cause I got phobia from my previous neighbors who did it on purpose to us, every single night 12am onwards together with their kids, so currently this new place this 4 tenants upstairs love to drag the chair as well, I just cant! Also the loud footstep, woke me up every morning!!

Yes already did, the very first day I moved in this April, they already drag from morning till night walking nonstop dont know doing what, out of kindness, we decided to go up and talk to them nicely, what they replied was just "ok we'll try" then continue doing so.

After that one of the tenant brought guest over. they were like keep dragging the chair I dont know why, I went up around 3AM and their door was open wide and chit chatting loudly there.

But after numerous of complaints, they're still like that. Management also cant do anything, what management told us was "We already told them not to make noise, if they're doing still, what more can we do?"

I even met with their owner, turns out to be their friend, with super arrogant tone and told us "As you know this place only cost 300k so the flooring is very thin one" So what?? That doesnt mean you can make noise like that right?? I even showed them the sound recording, and promised that will buy the chair pad but they didnt!!

Yes they're just not civilized people, among other neighbours, they are the only one who do not sleep early and started to be so active at night, even banging nonstop the yard door for dont know what reason.

If you say vacuum during daytime ok la, why the hell do you need to vacuum from 12am onwards? sometimes 1am? You don't want to sleep doesnt mean you can disturb other people. Somemore it is so quiet at night, even tho it is not extremely loud but you can still hear the engine noise. How to sleep like that, Kik Kok Kik Kok hitting the walls all.

Lol , this is some kind of brand new mindset to me. I think people usually comment like this are the ones that making noise.

So if i want to sleep around 11pm how? They start to make noise around 10 or 11pm then till late night 1am.
Vacuum and mopping the floor 12am onwards? WHY? It's not like they working outside or what, they're home 24-7.

Yes that I can accept too, cause we know it's dinner time and they're using the dining chair, but mine always happen past 10pm, it's not daily ya, but sure got few days a week. Sometimes in the bedroom sometimes in the living room, then push the chair like every 20secs to 2 minutes, it's so irritating, even daytime also, push like that for 2 hours straight. For what leh ? If u say they drag for like once a twice I can accept, but its constantly dragging up to hours.
Even tho there's no dragging noise but also noisy, dropping things walking here and there.

I agree, but developers just dont care, they want to build it fast and with low cost, they dont even care about parking space d (condos nowadays comes with only 1 carpark). So I doubt they will make flooring thick
So just pray that we get civilized neighbors. Like I said, we quiet people, past dinner time usually sit down watch tv or laying on bed etc, but I just dont know why some people gets so active at night, so inconsiderate.

Exactly, just ignore them, not only they discredit us, they clearly didnt even read my previous post dahlah, susah nak explain this kind of situation to people who never experience it. Dont tell me I couldnt differentiate human noise vs piping / other phenomenon sound lor. I even confronted my upstairs neighbor, they even admitted, the guard even caught them gathering and making noise. Walao still in denial these people.

Oh I'm currently like you now.... previous sub-tenants had moved out, now no more chair dragging noise cause they buy chair socks d.
But this new tenant, very young, very skinny, but walking like king kong seriously no joke.
She moved in for 2 weeks only, everyday I woke up by her footsteps, around 5-6am, or when she comes back late 2am...
