Personally I hate confrontations, maybe give her a couple of days to cool down and try gentle H2H talks again to try working it out. If she is still stubborn, then I see her responses being seriously unsettling red flags (especially the way she is trying to siphon your money with no solid reasoning), and if these are signs of things to come, I wouldnt want to put up with such a wife.
