Hi all. I want to ask if anyone knows Maybank bank statement pdf password? The file is encrypted and I can't edit the bank statement. I want to doodle and censor parts of the bank statement for credit card application purpose.

Please advice.

If emailed from M2U, then you would have set the password on M2U statements.

If you have access to M2U, last 6 months statements can be downloaded as PDF directly without it being password locked.

You can't 'edit' the statement. Best you can do is screenshot it and then censor what you need to remove.

Statement mine. PnC issues. Don't like to reveal my expenses to anyone. They just want to see my salary masuk bank only, so why should I give them the full statement. As long as statement my name, salary monthly masuk, okay lo.

Why should I reveal everything to the bank? Nowadays banks don't follow PDPA anymore. Otherwise how would I have received so many calls from credit companies asking if I want to borrow money with low interest. Can even know what bank credit card am I holding with my IC. The only third party that i provide my details to are bankers.

If bankers respect PDPA, then this will not be an issue. Yet everyday I receive calls from insurance la and credit facilities from various banks asking me if want buy insurance or borrow personal loan. But when I sign up for credit cards, I clearly state I do not want to receive any promotional offers and don't give any rights to them to share my details with third parties.

Once any attachment is edited, it only create doubt. 100% declined !

1) Any edits = auto reject. No exemptions. Might even give them cause to blacklist you and record as bad/untrustworthy customer.
2) You didn't share, but are you sure that your friends/family/colleagues/contact list/company records/online purchase/sales agent for property or products/anywhere else who have your number didn't share, on purpose or by accident? Might not be banks' fault, unless your number is 100% only used for banking matters. Very difficult to keep number secure leh.

There are many apps I believe on Internet to allow permission. Otherwise, just print blanko and scan again as soft copy

This one is only for emailed statement la my friend. But when u want to edit or censor other transactions by using pdf edit function, another prompt for another password comes out. Bet u NEVER tried editing before.
