Essay writing in SPM is fully based on facts from your texts. Around 40% of questions require more than that whereby you need to incorporate some judgements based on historical facts. For instance, I think British shouldn't give up Singapore when giving independence to the Federation of Malaya because bla bla ...

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 5 2007, 08:31 PM) They have helped you a lot by asking "singing" questions like : Maybe you'll get flying colour if you copy the whole Namewee's lyrics into the answer sheet. 1) Bagaimanakah kamu boleh berkhidmat kepada negara? 2) Apakah yang kamu belajari daripada perjuangan merdeka? |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 5 2007, 09:15 PM) Check last year's paper. About 10 marks of paper 2 was those type of question. It was under the Wawasan 2020 question. Gosh ... I hate the topics on Malaysian policy, NEP, NAP, Green Book and etc. So many stuffs to memorize.BTW, out of curiosity, souls, what are your grades like? I'll avoid to answer these type of questions at any cost! This post has been edited by David83: Sep 5 2007, 09:20 PM |

DATE may appear in MCQ but won't be in essays.
My history tuition teacher used to say that if you couldn't remember the exact date of the historical event. Just give the YEAR in order to show that you really know what you're answering for. This post has been edited by David83: Sep 5 2007, 09:30 PM |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 5 2007, 09:30 PM) But if you aren't sure, don't pretend to be. Some times, beating around the bush is the safest path. And you can have WRONG points, they'll still have to read through it. Heck, I used to answer 1 more essay than required. My teachers warned us not to be a smart alec to answer more than 4 questions. Unless you have tonnes of time left; 30 to 45 minutes. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 5 2007, 09:44 PM) Please don't buy Tuition Centre notes. You can refer to them but don't depend on them And do take note that one centre normally starts these seminars and a few weeks later, other centres will start the seminars and have the same SPOTTED question and when you friends start bandingkan the spot question and find out they are all the same, don't assume it's guaranteed to come out. It's one centre copying another. I am working at a centre so I saw the papers and LOL-ed. I attended the seminar not because their so called spotted 4D questions. Because my memory is not that good, I'm trying to refresh on what I have learnt in 2 years time. |

Talking about spotted question ... that day I listened to a Chinese radio (either MyFM or 988), there's a dedicated session for it. I think it was for PMR.
