i've been reading your posts and i find ur very knowledgable (and have passion for chins too!). anyway, im studying in Uk now but im thinking of buying a mosaic chin here and bring it back home with me in summer. im just worried about chin supplies and where to find a good vet. i know mentioned dr siva. are there any others? i live in selangor too.
then, where can i buy timothy hay and pellets (u recommend kaynest or sumting) ? which kind of bedding do u use, what brand and where to buy? same goes for the sand bath..
Do u give them tap water or mineral water?

Oh noooo... 3 weeks in quarantine? I DO NOT want to leave my chin in their hands. What if i send it to singapore? How long is the quarantine?

I have contacted 2 breeders here. One of them have been breeding for more than 10 years and do shows.

Im in dilemma. I can get a Mosaic here for 80 pounds excluding the cost of temporary cage and transportation to malaysia. But im afraid that when i bring back, its going to have health problem or worst, die. Do u think i should just buy a chin in Malaysia?

My cage just arrived yesterday and there's so much to be done!

I've bought all accesories needed and they are on their way..The custom made shelves will take a while..but im sure Chibi's home gonna be fantastic!

One thing though, the bottom of my cage is plastic..I thought its going to be metal..Should i change it into something else?

The bottom is 4 cm deep plastic...
I checked and plastic is a big no-no..So, i just ordered a galvanised metal tray, 2 inch deep..

haih...my bank getting dried up already...haha

Chin, if i buy 20 kg of pellets for chibi, how long will it last me? same goes to 20 kg of bathing sand..

Anyway, Chin, how many times a week do u clean a flat based cage?do u clean it everyday or at proper time(3-4 days)?

or maybe i just collect the droppings and renew the newspaper once a week? How do u know the hay is "soiled"? can she still eat the leftover hay from yesterday?

haha...i wanted to take her pic with flash, but takot dia trauma plak first day..she was very curious with the camera and always stare at it..my room's lampu mmg x bright..kn wait when i can take her out mayb i can have a better lighting..

im a bit worried...when i sleep at night, do i open the lights so it can see better while playing? or just laptop punya light is enough? i read that chin can see in the dark..

I would have to read up a lot about breeding...seems its a complicated(with genetics) and can be heartbreaking( wrong step. chibi cud die with her kits)..I dont want that! We'll see
