How's your A80J so far, like any dead pixel or burn in issue?

I am considering A80L and A95L...

not very sure never use x90 series before.

ever since i used A80 series, i can never go back to non-OLED display anymore.  tongue.gif

How's your A80 series ya? Me considering A80L (77") and A95L (65"). Tested at Harvey today, the only thing I not so comfortable is the UI is a bit slow comparing with LG WebOS.

Can try checking with Desa Home Theater. Should be around 14k since Sony official store is selling it at 14999 now

Is the size an absolute must? Because you can probably consider a 65" A95L already

A95L is really nice, I tested at Harvey today. I am undecided between A80L 77" and A95L 65" tongue.gif

The QD OLED, do you notice it is really significantly brighter than A80L ka? My current TV is LG GX 65", when I test the A80L, to me it seems more less same brightness which I am ok. Plus side it I the huge 77" screen.

Sony A80L HDMI eARC port is connected to Samsung Q950T soundbar ARC port. Apple TV 4K is connected to TV HDMI 2.

Playing Netlfix content with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision only gets Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos sound is not played on soundbar, only normal 5.1 sound. Tried using auto passthrough and off passthrough on TV, both also no luck. The same connectivity had been working flawlessly with my previous LG 65 GX.

However, with built in Netflix app of Sony TV, the soundbar is getting Dolby Atmos signal. This confirms that the eARC is working.

Any expert Sony TV users can help with this?

I will be trying later tonight direct connect Apple TV 4K to soundbar and see if it works.

I use A80K eARC to Denon X3700H (source PS5 to TV). No issue so far... DD Atmos detected all the time.

Yours is Apple TV 4K directly connected to tv?

Exactly same issue with me. sad.gif

I gave up troubleshooting and just connect Apple TV 4K to my Samsung soundbar directly.

For those with Sony tv, is the following available on your tv for configuration?

I can’t find the above option in my a80l.

Coming from a 7 year old LED TV. Was targeting to get X90L but got poisoned into OLED.

Can't seem to decide on LG C3 or A80L. Price difference around RM450.

Will be using the tv mainly for streaming apps, movies and Nintendo Switch. Thought that the upscaling capabilities from Sony will be more useful for my usage but reading online about how the A80L being a lot dimmer compared to C3 has concerned me a bit.

Anyone here have any experience/comments on the A80's brightness or has been through my dilemma?  biggrin.gif  blush.gif

I owned a80l 77" in a living room with big window panel next to the tv. Light is not directly to the tv but more from side. To me the brightness is not an issue as during bright daylight I am still impressed by the colour accuracy and overall brightness of the panel.

Full set with surround rs5 and woofer sw5? That’s a good deal.
