Hi,
Has anyone experienced this, I would call it WiFi breakage issue? Please read on smile.gif

I have recently bought a 85j and it is constantly not connected to the WiFi when first turned on after a few hours being off. After doing the unplugging of power cable, wait 2mins and restarting the TV. It gets connected back then it stays connected.

But repeating this, I can say on a daily basis is getting annoying.

I mean what year already, should electronics work like that?

I'm not sure if it's an issue with my router (Asus RT-AC88U) or the TV itself.

I haven't managed to get in touch with the service center as recently quite tied up.

1. Have any of you peeps faced this issue before?
2. What would you recommend me to do? Perhaps some testing method or some solutions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Your router is the same as mine: ASUS RT-AC88U with its latest firmware version:3.0.0.4.386_48260. I've been using this router since January 2019.

I'm suffering sporadic instability with my WIFI5 5 GHz connection, but I believe it's a router issue because some of my devices also have intermittent disconnectivity with WIFI5 5 GHz.

Nowadays, I primarily use the LAN Ethernet connection for my Sony X90H TV. However, when I start the UnifiTV Android TV software, I switch back to the WIFI connection because it checks for it (bummer!).

But I'll keep using the router until I have a budget to buy a new one.

Anyone know what is the latest code to enter service menu? It seem like this service code no longer valid on latest TV. Mine one is X75k.

Must turn off the TV or set it in standby mode first then enter the codes from the TV remote. Once the POWER button is pressed from the code sequence, the TV will turn on in SERVICE MENU mode.

Update:

QUOTE
Service Menu Code For Sony TV:

First power off your TV using the remote, then press the following buttons quickly on your TV remote:

Display (or i+) + 5 + Volume Up + Power

It’ll show the hidden service menu on your TV screen.

Once you enter into the service menu, you can press Menu (or Options) button again on your remote to switch between various service modes such as Digital, Chassis, and VPC.

To navigate between available options press 1 or 4 buttons. To change or modify their values press 3 or 6 buttons.

To save your changes, just press the Mute + 0 (or Enter) buttons on the remote.

To restore settings to factory defaults, press the 8 + 0 (or Enter) buttons.

PS: For some new models the above-mentioned method might not work. You can try following the key sequence to access the service menu in those new models:

While TV is on, press the Left + Right + Mute + Center button + Mute + Menu buttons.

NOTE: You can also press the Display (or i+) + 5 + Volume Down + Power buttons on your remote to enter in Self-Check mode. This mode shows the total usage hours of your Sony TV set.
