Normal for FALD tvs. If you look at Rtings test pic for 50% grey uniformity, they have the 4 dark corners also.

You don't know what you are buying? Dark corner is usual for direct lit aka full array. Just without local dimming.
*
to be fair i don't know direct lit is part of FALD

One thing I am impressive about the new Sony tv with Google tv now is that the casting of video to YouTube app is a lot a lot faster than my old 42-inch non google tv. Even it is faster than casting via the Chromecast with Google tv and it is a lot more stable.
*
the processor could play a main role here

I'm not sure what's the SoC for Sony TV, but Sony's Google TV interface is by far the smoothest and fastest compare to to other brand.
*
but sometime i can't stand the lag from in google UI

tried to limit background process in developer options but apparently it will reset to default after power off

I have 2 TV, one is connected via 1Gbe ethernet, another is on Wi-Fi... the one wired felt faster (A80J), while the wifi one is felt a bit more sluggish... (A80K). This is noticeable when just boot the TV up. I guess the connection takes time for wireless.
*
maybe everytime the tv start up then it will try to connect to wifi first before the home screen populated?
but the lag occurs everywhere for example when you change/exit to different apps

I'm using apps only mode for both TV. Pretty fast LOL. I think if you use full feature then it requires to wait for the rest of info to load and hence slow?
*
interesting. let me try this thumbsup.gif

Gran Turismo is on Bravia Core?

I have BCORE on my A80K, but I didn't activate  sweat.gif . But I'm keen to watch Across Spiderverse!

yes but not sure if it will available immediately for trial users. maybe those who have movie credits can use it to purchase once it released

This SmartTube is good that it even skips ads within the video… damn smart!

Layout wise I see quite similar, so I’m rather happy! This SmartTube is much more snappy navigating. I guess it is lighter than the native app.
*
Yes it's quite light. It even Skip the sponsored segment within the video
