I think you can only buy bermuda seed in this region.

The dog will dig whether u plant from seed or lay sod. It is easier to lay sod as it take 2-6 months for the seed to reach compact state. During this period you need water a lot and removing weed.

Cost wise also about same if you buy soil and self plant from seed due to the time spend on it.

You can get sod cheaply in s buloh. Go as inside as possible and buy sod from sod planter instead nursery shop along the road. Japan lawn sod is about rm1.80 per pcs.

You can keep dog and have nice lawn. You just need to train your dog.

I have a free-roaming schnauzer at home too.

I would suggest you install a sprinkling system. I self install and it cost about RM250 for the entire system. 2x auto timer, 7 head, and hdpe pipe. Even though the lawn is 7ftx80ft, it still the same for 1k sqft because I am using 180° and 90° sprinkler head for directional spray. You can buy 360° head.

Watering makes a lot different. Get roller mower instead string trimmer to cut.

My friend want to buy too recently but the person’s phone is not working anymore. The fella is part of a group of indo workers that formerly work in nursery shop. You can just walk in to those grass planter and make offer.

There is no season in malaysia but the availability is depend on the plant cycle.

The japan and philippine grass is part of zoysia grass if you want to google and read more about it. Generally in msia, you can get 3 type of grass and their hybrid; cow grass, bermuda and zoysia.
