Guys, please teach me how to plant carpet grass from seeds in my new garden.
I'm not keen on ordering from landscapers because I have a big dog that's not trained to live in a house with a garden yet. She likes to dig and I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on carpet grass just to have her dig holes everywhere and destroy the garden before I can properly train her.
I see online there's a lot of people selling Bermuda grass. How is this different from Japan/Taiwan/Philippine grass that landscapers are offering?
From my basic understanding, the steps are:
1) Spray weedkiller to kill all the weeds in the garden and wait 2 weeks for them to all die off.
2) Pour sand to flatten the garden.
3) Pour fertiliser (what type?)
4) Sprinkle the seeds and wait.
Am I doing this right? Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!
