first thing...pencil mod on the rams itself is just not worth doing...no gain at all. The mod only mess with the Eeprom of the ram to make show higher speed ram.

As for CPU pin mod...use conductive pen. LGA775 no more pins. Wire mod works for pinned CPUs only. In fact, conductive pen marks can be removed easily too...just use nail varnish remover.

I am also in a need for finding a conductive pen long time ago. But dont know where to get it. Some said selling at very high price.
Now I am using conductive paint from RadioShack with a needle.

just use the pen to draw a "C" shape line to connect the pins.

It works on my AthlonXP (ages ago). Conductive pen can be used but you need one which has a fine tip and you have to be very sharp.

Good luck smile.gif

You can get it from Pasar Road electrical shops but based from my experience, pencil works just as well smile.gif

Pencil only works on those Athlon XP where you just join the bridges. Pencil mod DOESN'T work on LGA775. Tried and tested with 5 types of pencil (HB, 2B, 3B, 4B and 5B). Whereas the conductive silver pen works like charm. Its also easy to remove.

I don't call it repair...it's more like joining the contacts.
