the one side of the wii's hot is normal, if u study the wii design, the other side is just the disc tray....

i heard it's possible to leave ur wii on standby 24 hours, after all there's no actual power-off switch for the system anyway. i guessing it's safe to operate it like my CD player.... 24 hours on standby (the red LED light is constantly on)
