does anyone have this symptom?

It's like noise all over the screen image. I've tried with normal composite cable and component cables. both happens to be the same. it just that composite cable doesn't show the pixels so obviously.

so far i suspect it's the 2nd.
i'm using sony trinitron. doesn't have problem like this when i use my ps2 with component vid.
sigh.... i've just called bernard shop. seems like alot of ppl are suffering the same problem.

gaming wise it's not effected. all i can say for now is just pretend that it's not there.
i'm ok with zelda but resident evil is to obvious.
sigh....

well... to me i haven't really notice it until u use component cables and playing games with dark environments or busy textures in the bg.
fog could shows quite alot too.
the zelda for instance shows up in the title screen. while in game not so obvious.
for ppl who use composite cables might not notice it at all.

How do you refer to "noise" in these cases..

The only problem I ever had with my Wii, is that some games like Resi 4 Wii Edition, and GCN Animal Crossing would display small white horizontal lines through the whole TV. Very noticable on black background.. But it only occurs once in awhile, and from what I gather, GCN emulation?

Quite scary wan these lines.

Used to, not anymore. Updates are unworthy. Message Board still works.. Only if you excessively use News Channel should you have WiiConnect24 turned on.

I think its not advisable to keep the Wii on standby, it heats up excessively. I think its because the FAN is off but the Wii is still working. Kinda a design flaw IMHO.

Hearing about these heat issues, do you guys keep your wii inside your TV cabinet? Because i keep mine on it, out in the open, next to the TV, 24 hours standby mode, and there isn't any overheating at all.

nub... feel the heat on the bottom of ur wii(when laid horizontally). It feels more than warm~

IMO, its the wifi adapter heating up~ ouch!~! really bad part used. Cause in statements, the Wii on standby uses really low power. :dizzy:
Why does a part using only minimal power heats up so badly... Its really a myth~

From wikipedia
The WiiConnect24 system running in Standby Connect mode requires about the same amount of power as a miniature light bulb.
