The Naga 7, designed by Gusto MSC, was built in China in 2015. It’s a three-legged jack-up capable of operating at water depths of up to 375 feet.

The worst fear for any rig move - rapid penetration or worst case scenario, punch through. Seabed study must be thorough enough to pick up if worth drilling in pure soft mud seabed. Back in Persian Gulf days, we always prayed for hard sand seabed. Some operators overconfident or NOC place too much to jack up on unsafe bottoms.
