JB bad things - food equal or more expensive than KL, food damn sux, a lot lalabeng and lalamuis

JB good things - now no sinki go everywhere road also empty easy find carpark, road quite big ( same type of road in KL most likely u need to pay tol), amois and aweks seems better quality

what i notice is KL drivers are not actively toxic like penang or maybe JB drivers, the very aggressive dont let you masuk cucuk everywhere type, at most a small percent only.

i feel KL drivers is more in the oblivious/idiot category, either dont know the way, dont know how to keep own lane/didnt realise masuk other lane, dont know how to signal that kind of style. its like they float into your lane you honk them they dk what they did wrong kind.

maybe cause KL all the college and job here, so more young people here and as we all know most of the people here buy license one

of course kl more bigger, more place to go, more crowded, more traffic jammed, more shopping mall, more choices.

penang is more fun than jb to be honest.

Less likely to get robbed in KL

JB, local food choices in air-cond setting is better.
Got Lavender, Aunty Lim, The Toast, Warakuya, & more of this "ipoh white coffee" style of food joint. All originated from JB summore, so quality is good.

For famous food choice, got curry fish head, laksa, & kuey chap.

On the roads, there is no toll and not much traffic. Roads in JB are also less confusing. Travel east, you end up east. Travel west, you will be at west eventually.

Public transportation in JB is surprisingly very efficient. I have sat public bus from SG to JB Larkin, to take a bus to KL many times. Very efficient and not hard at all. Buses go to all destinations in wider JB. No problem.

JB houses are fairly new, nicer in design, more choices & cheaper. 600k rm can still get you landed freehold prop within 10 mins of JB town. KL, no chance.

In recent years, JB town is building up nicely. With MRT to SG by 2026, melbourne style trams, buses modifying the roads and tall buildings, it has potential to be a very nice City in near future.


Cons. JB town is somewhat dead. JB has that blue collar, dirty, rough feeling. The people are all Chinese speakers. Not many English talker.

I find the people are less refined, & kampung mentality.

SG is nearby. Singkie are damn one kind one. Irritating people.

J drivers

KL drivers are good at using indicators when switching lanes or turning! JB drivers dont give a fark!

I taken a cheap RM15 bus from KL to JB, then JB to SG for $1 SG no problem.

KL > JB. There is a reason why KL is the capital and not JB. Lesser talent in JB too. More cina bengs and ah lians who cannot speak proper bahasa or english because all go Foong yew.

Last time I went in the 2010's it is non existent, if it is better now then I don't know lah.

Yea thats one thing I feel KV drivers are better than JB. KL people give signal because its actually work.

In KV, when you give signal to switch lane, there are very high chance whoever behind will give way in any situation. All you have to do is not hesitate and move promptly.
In JB you give signal ppl give no shit . Giving way culture is simply not in there.


Riding bike in high roads in JB is much more scarier experience then in Kl.

Good thing about JB roads in people are much more chill about delays. KL people is like bangla. spam horn in slightest sign of jam or selowness. JB chill je, as if like they charged rm10 per second of horn pressed.
