Hi, i have a relative who diagnosed with schizophrenia , but quite mild one, won't kill people but will beat people if mood bad. She still can communicate with people, Q&A no problem, no like those crazy people on the street that keep talking to themselves and can't communicate with people.

However, my relative is not normal as some of her thinking is illogical. Example, she says her husband is waiting her to bring her home after we all died.
Her temper is very bad and everyday scold people and if you scold her back , she might beat you.

Anyone has similar experience?

Anyone know centers/places that accept this kind of patient to stay? she seek medical treatment for 20 years already.

hi superinvestor, when your relative is seeking treatment didn't she follow cognitive behavioral therapy according to what her psychiatrist or psychotherapist has told her about?

there is no cure for schizophrenia, in the long term the patient is the one that is responsible for how they responded to the treatment. this is where cognitive behavioral therapy helps, where the therapy helps to hold the patients in their place whether they are respond to their medication or not.

Get professional help first.

But, I know a method that seem bad a bit, an uncle at workplace also have this problem with his brother in law. So the inlaw keep beating up his mom and tantrum alot and a colleague of this uncle suggest him to beat the inlaw up. So he did on one fine day. Not beating him half to death or anything. Just enough for the inlaw to stop fighting. After that day, whenever the inlaw want to hurt his mom, the mom just said the uncle name saying will tell the uncle if he don't stop. And he will stop. Uncle said he married around the 90s, incident also few years after married. Until now the inlaw still scared of the uncle. He only hit the inlaw only one time. He been nice if inlaw behave well. Just a bit tantrum he close one one la.

I don't come across any private institute for a center for them. Only gomen lime the tanjung rambutan one. But have to go gen doctor first.

my closed partner was suffered from schizophrenia for about 2 years plus until now, she had some major symptoms include hallucinations , delusions, and uncontrollable mood (sometimes crying, sometimes over excited). She is still taking medical treatment, and according to her phycological doctor the result varies depends on each patients, some patient took 5 years to recovered and some even whole life taking medicine just to control the condition.

Yes, their thinking might be illogical because they suffered from hallucinations or delusions, in which they hardly able to differentiate which is real which is not when it is serious. Standing from normal people, we just tried to be more understandable and patience when they behave that way (such as talking something you don't understand / scold us out of no reason due to hallucinations).

Do let me know if you need any intro of phycology clinic

Maybe she keeps getting away Scott Free scolding and Beating people, using schizophrenia as excuse for this behavior? (not saying she doesn't have schizophrenia)

Even sane people who always get away with stuff exhibit such bad behavior.

Has she ever been beaten-up or beaten-up & locked up in jail as a consequences of beating other people? Or she got away with it her whole life?
