@ybtan.
for my case, at initial, whether u press C button or not, my winXP always offer to install the driver. so i just refer to the usb flash driver (or the one in the CD) and then finish. after all work well, disconnect the phone. remove battery, the re plug the phone. by normal all should work by now... if your winVista din offer the pop up for instal new hw, i think the flash driver already installed. *dont forget remove the battery be4 plugging in. for the cam driver; i got the kopritis 3.0 with 35fps video. but got bugs in bestPic. but i believe soon he'll post the updated one with bug fixed... hi edkiasu?
so you're facing the same problem just like me 2 days ago. (i'm skylineR35 in esato) *glad to see you there!* the day before yesterday. i googled and yahood everything about he font. even most chinse websites. but unfortunately, what they did is just changeing the values of fons.xml to PURE ORIGINAL one. gladly that helps for me... so in the other words, you don;t need to find the original fonts, its hidden inside the phone... just change the values of fonts.xml and it should work... it would be better if you could post your "current" fonts.xml here or at esato... |

there's no need to flash the firmware imo if youre using the latest one.
it's only useful if you want to unbrand your phone or change to K810 firmware (unsupported in XS++ for K810 afaik). wew i mod my phone acoustic, fonts, menu, camdriver... but now revert back to original fonts and menu... (holiday = don't touch my phone |

QUOTE(kanethesun @ Sep 9 2007, 06:41 AM) I'm using k810 and w800 currently i think it should be here:btw, KTCY, if I'm going to mod the acoustic driver k810i, I just download the file, and copy it into the files_to_upload/tpa/preset/system/menu folder, and using the same method like I mod for my cam driver right? Camdriver= files_to_upload/ifs/settings/camera/ Acoustics= files_to_upload/ifs/settings/acoustic/ |

use WavePad to crop music.
however the free version is quie buggy, means you cant simply right click your mp3 and > open with WavePad. instead, open wavepad and file > open > choose the file... not a life-threatening issue, however i find it "time-wasting" Audacity is a good tools too, however need to install the mp3 codec for first time then can use mp3.... |

hi all sifus....
i wanna ask simple question here... i wanna mod a W550's acoustic driver. i already got the file, and i also have XS++ like used to my K800. what i want to ask is the procedure of changing acoustic is the same with my K800 CID52? bcause for sure i know that my W550 has different CID... perhaps 36 or 49.... if it's the same then i don;t think i'll overcome any problem upon changing its acoustic... |

hello all...
just recently my friend's W550 died as a result of my foolish act i suppose. i want to change the phone acoustic via XS++ using BreakXS (this method it stuck at the flashblock and now can;t be turned on, cant be detected in windows explorer and neither can be charged too... the owner told me that before this, actually the phone has been died 5x and sent to sesc. now im trying my best to revive it although the chance is very small... im googling all info from posts like k750 just died etc... but cant find any revival tips so far.... anyone could share some information?? btw its a DB2010 CID49 phone. |

thx for the reply
..i think you are correct. just now i was finding as much information as possible from the google. "they" said, must flash the firmware and gdfs (if not mistaken) in order to revive it up... but anther problemm arise... i already have XS++ Gslide FarManager and even setool2lite but.... i dont have the firmware of the W550.... neither the GDFS file... i saw a website called bandung-flasher which offer the firmware of it. however, im not sure whether any 5 application lsted above could solve it. when i used setool2, it says: Phone PreBoot failed, possible recovery needed. while the recovry button is greyed... any ideas?? do u think i should give a try flashing it using apps that can be found in the web?? |

we're in the same boat i suppose...
next time i;ll be more careful,,, read the instruction thoroughly and all will be normal... must admit that, db2020 phones are the easiest to mod, although modding already invented long ago... |

Here is the guide to return your K800 APAC fonts.
1.) Firstly, download the Original EU fonts provided: http://www.live-share.com/files/271772/K80..._fonts.zip.html 2.) Then, extract 3 files in it to the XS++ directory. (assuming you're using it) XS++ directory = files_to_upload/tpa/preset/system/fonts/ Start the FSX. When the process is done, disconnect the phone and turn it on. 3.) You should be able to see your original fonts back. However the chinese characters are missing. 4.) Grab the fonts.xml supplied at (1.) and edit it. Right-Click the fonts.xml and choose open with > notepad. from these values: <xml> <engine cache_size="131072" default="yes"> <font style="sans-serif" weight="normal">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf</font> </engine> <engine cache_size="262144" default="no"> <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold" >/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Bd.ttf</font> <font style="sans-serif" weight="italic" s01="20" >/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Reg.ttf</font> <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold-italic" s01="20" >/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-Serif_Europe_Bd.ttf</font> </engine> </xml> change to: <xml> <engine cache_size="393216" default="yes"> <font style="sans-serif" weight="normal">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-serif_Chinese_Reg.ccc</font> </engine> <engine cache_size="183296" default="no"> <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold" >/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-serif_Chinese_Bd.ttf</font> <font style="sans-serif" weight="italic">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-serif_Chinese_It.ttf</font> <font style="sans-serif" weight="bold-italic">/tpa/preset/system/fonts/Sans-serif_Chinese_Bi.ttf</font> </engine> </xml> 5.) Once again, upload the updated fonts.xml file alone to the XS++ directory. using the same method as (2.). When the process finished, disconnect the phone and turn it on. This time, your phone fonts are back to normal with the presence of chinese character. Good Luck This post has been edited by nismo91: Sep 28 2007, 11:34 AM |
