at USD10 was it for the mini cubed..its a good price (u can get cheaper if u make in bulk from the local store)..however, shipping for the mini cubed is a PHREAKING PIA!!

I can make DIY mini cubed, but single sided, anything else is wire jumpered, and maybe the option of DIP sockets..hmmm...but it wont be nice looking.

Thanks, amb. That's going to be a big help, not only in sourcing the parts and dealing with potential grounding issues, but also in the look of the finished product. I think the absence of visible nuts and washers on the facade will give the amp a real pro look.

Thanks, too, for the resistor advice. If I can't turn up the easy-to-do resistor option I'll have a go at your resistors in parallel idea or dougigs's SMD. SMD soldering looks hard to do - I was amazed by the size of the Pimeta op-amp. I wonder if my eyesight is up to it.
