MadZiZ, i suggest you start working with perfboards. They are good practises. smile.gif

Jumping into PCB too early will only make you learn alot less than you should.

Some advice. Please beware that fumes from soldering is poisonous and breathing them in can cause problems.
Do soldering where there's good ventilation. Hakko have got fume extractor for the purpose..but there's alternative brands at cheaper price can be found.

how much is the Hakko Fume Extractor?

Couldnt find any list price sad.gif

you should go over to amb's personal page. Man that guy's awesome. Started this whole diy thing since high school. He's not exactly young now either, so i suspect he's as old as Jazzy or perhaps even march himself.

still have some more board space, why not put bypass ceramics on your diodes? Stock up some moar capacitance and caps for lower ESR and better ripple suppression brows.gif

hi guys,

I'm building a PPAv2 now, to all power supply expert here, which power supply should work well with PPAv2?

I'm trying to build 1 which is inexpensive? how much would a STEPS cost?? my budget is well in the range of <RM100

thanks
*
<Rm100 you'll get a good TREAD i assume. Just stock up on huge caps. The only difference between the TREAD and STEPS is the pre line choke filter anyway.
