There used to be a decent Android App to record phone calls. I think it was simply called "Call Recorder". I have stopped using it for a while.

My Redmi Note 4 has been perfectly recording voice calls since 2019, or earlier. Now it seems that Redmi Note 8 onwards, this feature has been removed.

I deal with lots of people who lies, forgets or goes back on their words. Thus, I keep these recordings. I seldom use them but it is superb when. I need to use it.

Please help, please advise.. How to record phone calls?

Appreciate your help and Thank you in advance...

Google blocked all recording apps after android 9

https://www.xda-developers.com/android-pie-...recording-apps/
Android Pie blocks non-root call recording apps from working

if phone does not come with native phone record, there is no way to record

buy china phone, xiaomi china miui come with miui dialer, and it support auto call recorder like it used to.

new xiaomi global phone come with google dialer instead. and google dialer don't allow call recorder

even if allowed on specific country, but it's not automatic, you need press record button, once you press it, it will send a robot voice over the call to tell the another side the call is being recorded..... :x

for this reason im going to flash all my xiaomi phone from global miui rom to china miui rom, including my new Mi 11.

Cool. I was planning to get the Mi 11 Lite
But if cannot record calls... SIGH...

Not sure how to flash though....
And even if I flash, worry that my limited knowledge of the Chinese language be another concern.

wow, for the first time ever, I'm glad my Samsung Note 9 was unable to update to the latest Android because it is a Dubai set. Call recorder works like a charm.

china rom support english language as well

you can install google using GO Installer, it works on my Redmi Note 9 phone that flashed to china miui

https://www.coolapk.com/apk/com.goplaycn.googleinstall

make sure the phone you are buying available in both china and global

some phone like Poco X3 NFC only available in global, so there is no china rom for this phone.

Added on
if not mistaken xiaomi eu rom come with miui dialer

https://xiaomi.eu/

but i never use xiaomi eu rom

i'm not sure but i feel like the rom is not as fluid smooth as original rom, maybe my false feeling, you can try it and see how

Using OPPO F11 Pro, running on Android 10. The built-in call recorder works like a charm (as long as you use the default dialer).

There was a similar thread raised last month for call recording on a Samsung phone.

I highlighted in that thread revolving around disputes and what not and the importance to record them, but somebody there said that these recordings won't hold water when it reaches the court. Not sure how true this is, though. And is it that easy to pull a VK Lingam scenario when this happens? tongue.gif

Yes, it may or may not hold water in court.

But the thing is about "before reaching court". Once played, you cannot dispute that you didn't say that, especially when the voices are recognizable smile.gif

That's true. Most people would admit and rather settle a dispute before it ends up in court. But there will always be that handful of cases that ended up there and those thick-faced culprits may pull a, "Looks like me, sounds like me, but it's not me." stunt. Anyway, that VK Lingam guy was disbarred on Nov 6 2015 after the RCI into the video recording in 2007.
