QUOTE(Intimidated @ Apr 2 2021, 08:05 PM)
This mentality is outdated

Not many people work for the same company until they die anymore

Lain cerita if you are born in ulu kampung

Intend to spend your entire life in ulu kampung

Otherwise, you from kampung also work in KL

Pastu? Beli rumah kat kampung and travel every back back and forth?

Or be like those take bus from seremban every day to kl Sentral?

Sure got people say woi young people susah sikit tak boleh kah bas kl-seremban saja pun

Well old man/woman, time is different now. Unless you take bas like that can earn 4k as fresh grad, ok la jimat duit, invest for future. Then yes buy a big big house in seremban stay there until you die

Chances are people take kl-seremban bas is because no choice, no job pay well enough in seremban

So poor people won’t even think about buying a house, much less a studio to be near work

So who are buying the studios?

Of course la fresh grad that earn 4k straight out of uni

Or people earning big salary in their 30s and 40s

Those people buy 800k-1mn studio in kl so they don’t have to waste time drive just to reach work

So busy earn big money, want kid also no time la

When want children, buy another cheap house la in KV suburbs

What to do with the studio? Rent out to young fresh grad who earn 4k straight out of uni but don’t want buy house la or expat

So in short

If you feel like buying house in PD, in seremban, in bangi is a good idea because cheaper but bigger house, and you want to work in KL

Don’t regret too much la when your car petrol bill maintenance bill come out so much

Or sakit belakang every now and then need go hospital then spend on insurance premium

When young = just rent near where you work la

Save money

Until you feel your career mature adi

Feel like can work at least five years in the company

Better still, the company is in KL

Maka you pun splurge buy a landed subsale in PJ

Expensive like shit

But at least when you change job on the sixth year

You don’t have to uproot your lifestyle or your future family lifestyle

why you pusing grandmother story until seremban to kampung?
I just want to said "NO" to studio.
and fark the agent who trying to promote studio because of location.
the era of fresh grad buying property has ended.
studio is not cheap as well.

people can be buying 3 rooms condo for better flexibility in the future.
You can expand the family or even possible to sell 3 rooms condo in the future.
Who asked you to buy 1m landed house?

Key point is dont buy studio because the agent will bullshit about location.
and some will pusing to grandmother story in seremban.

It's similar to hotel room, only more customizable to your taste. Studio house in a convenient location is good if you are focusing on career and networking in life, and maybe in later stages you plan to get married and need a bigger house then hopefully you already have good enough financial status to upsize.

I have a studio; monthly rent collect 1,200 but still have to pay bank 1,800. Belum kira maintenance fee. Sadding.

I would live there if I didn't have so much shit. Size and design is strictly for 1 person or couple. If got kids definitely kenot.

I'd say it's great if you're single. Once you want to start a family, you'll have to get a bigger place. Make sure the studio your looking at has resale or rental value. Many places are money pits these days. Rental won't cover your installment and may not have much or any increase in value.

Anyone here purchased a Studio size house?

What's the reason you bought this property other than investment purposes?

The price looks affordable but I can't imagine living in a property that feels so small, no proper room.

Easy for clean up, living alone, outside whole day only come home at night, no plan for family

go for at least 1 ROOM condo. A proper ROOM is the most important to get that 'home' feeling.

Another teruk thing about STUDIO is if you cook Curry... your furnitures and bed will smell like curry for weeks!

I bought for several reasons, firstly it is cheap utilities as you spend less money on heating and water, secondly for one or two people, such a house is a very good buy and thirdly it is a cheap repair. I can do more "expensive" qualitative repairs and spend less money on it than if I did it in a large house, for example buy good, reliable and stylish interior glazed doors for their small house and still not spending much money. I think that's a big advantage of these houses.

For most that think die die must own a property and not rent please think again. If u gonna buy at 400-500k now and by the time u wanna sell how much u think the house worth? Will it reach 600 -700 k as u wanted? Most probaly u only selling 500-600k. 100k lesser than what u want.

Don't forget u r only paying interest for at least 15 yrs for a 30yrs home loan. So even u sell at Yr 15 u probaly still owe bank 300k (buy at 400-500k)..so after selling n paying off the bank and minus the interest u paid all these Yrs u probaly just end up same. Don't forgot mthly home maintenance. Gomen bills.

If u rent u fix ur mthly expenses. Please don't think buying house is investment nowadays. Price won't cone down but have stagnated due to over supply. Unless u buy at prominent area then different case. Or u not selling for few decades. Can keep for kids. My 2 cents.

if location is good, there are many "uses" smile.gif

also because it is so small, it doesn't take a lot of renovation to make it look luxurious

Have studio & condo in prime area, also have landed with generous sq feet in ulu area. Studio & condo for kids as starter home. No problem renting out to single or childless couple.

As for my ulu house, lol no value for now, if rent also at huge loss, only valuable to me.
