Mind if I hijack your thread? I'm a newbie in photography too, thought I don't need to start another thread. Anyway I'm just shooting with a P&S, but appreciate any comments.

Sorry about that, posted a separate thread already, thanks for being understanding notworthy.gif Btw I'm using Ixus 950IS.

But it's weird though, I thought I never did posted in your thread, cause it was then I thought it wasn't nice, and started another. Very bad connection last night hmm.gif (Stre*myx)

tHaNks alot. i learn many today.
hmm my subject is bird nest. i just saja2 put caption bout the dragon fly becoz only see dragonfly after many time see the image.

so if i didnt mention about the dragonfly, will u interested with my photo?
i tried to use macro mode. but only use HP photosmart camera.
the mode is not enough. quite blur2 d.

okay..ur sebject is that nest.. but from what i see , its not have enough focus. green leaf is more bold than ur main subject.when composing , its OK to put in center in ur frame (for the 2nd pic) but , try search n colect info about "rule of third" , i think its will help u in composing.
i think.. u must be more excited to shot again after this.
happy shoting.

nam92, photography is also about choosing the right time to snap.

in your case, why da heck are you snapping at night? smile.gif snap during the day please. it's not like you don't have a choice. just identify the good places to snap, then identify the light source (sun) and plan accordingly.

if that area is dark, just get some reflector (yeah, like the one used to block car windshield).

Just remember lo... flash spoils almost anything in a P&S camera...
Try to do without it..
