My parent decided to buy a new car for themselves, i am their guarantor. We placed a booking fee to the dealer after test drove it. It is a national car brand. Then, after waiting close to a week without any result, my folks decided to change their mind and buy another brand, national brand also.

Contacted the salesman, requested him to cancel the booking. He asks why, we said we wanted to change to another brand. He gives tons of reasons saying his brand better than that brand bla bla. He asks us to wait few more days then will get to know loan results, no need so troublesome change brand and apply all over again and etc. At that time, we were convinced by him. 2 days later, we really decided 100% not to choose his brand but buy another brand. Again, contacted him, he convinced us dont change brand and something along the line. This time, second time, we ask for cancel and request for refund, he change the topic. Never ending changing topic

Even contacted his branch, i think is the office person picked up, we asked for cancellation, but we were told to deal with the sales person himself.... damn. Really no way to bypass him

Now want to apply with another brand also headache. Because he keep on acts on his own, according to him, he will apply with other bank. If like that its bad, affect scoring for future application. He seems like trying to trap us and make us no way out and to choose to buy from him

How to deal with such case & get back by booking fee without going through him? Anybody had the same encounter?

Grow some balls tell him no mean no end of story. Bank loan stuff complain to bank negara his banker will kena if not follow proper sop.

tell him you will shame his name if this keep going.

Now the booking fee is at his side, if i be nasty, i worry my booking fee is gone or he wouldnt help me process

Secondly, if i be nasty, he would apply with all the banks, as of now already got 4....if it continues, it will caused me hard to get approval for future application

The only way out is to buy from him. Which we decided not to after changing our mind.

He can apply with all the bank u can complain to bank negara ppl misuse yr data to apply end of story.

As a salesperson, they should respect customer’s decision.

How u pay the booking? Cash or card? Any receipt to prove of payment?

How about my booking fee? How to get back?

I use online transfer. The receipt is with me. And they even provide me the vehicle sales order. I have this both document with me

Go bang table and talk to the manager. Both national brands are selling like hotcake now, im sure the manager will malas to layan complain and will quickly process ur refund.

Dont worried he cant forfeit the booking . Just request a refund . And call banker cancel loan he cant do shit.

applying multiple banks won't taint your credit score. You are a customer, you have rights to shop around different banks to see each banks offer.

The process is ... i need to write cancellation letter > submit to salesman > salesman submit to management. I cannot bypass him and right away go through management

Secondly, he refuse to let me know which bank branch. Wtf man

I’m not sure he is bluffing me or not.. he said my scoring already bad coz he already applied with few banks. If i choose other brand, guarantee wont approve as the second brand salesman will continue submit to different multiple banks again

Based on my experience, booking fee just RM 100 right? If yes and it doesn’t worth the headache, just move on and proceed with the new brand agent.

Even better, you can get tell the new agent about your story, and perhaps they can reimburse or absorb the booking from their commission.

On the scoring part, as long it doesn’t yet accepted, no worries. Bank will auto remove from CCRIS if no further action from your end, or if the banker call you, just let him know that you wanna cancel the application.

Your CTOS score has nothing to do with multiple enquiries... the sales person is just trying his luck to scare you off.

But on another note. if you have a lower score, maybe you should take less loan.... you can know your loan capability easily, just walk into one of the bank and provide your personal details... there will inform how much loan you can get.

You got the official sales receipt right? Go visit the branch and ask to speak with the manager. If they still redirect you to the salesman, file an official complaint with the national brand HQ.

How much you put downpay anyway?

TS is just weak. Bullied by perodua or proton salesman.

he sold a car, he will get commission, and if you buy another car that he is not selling, that means he need to puke out the commission and another person will pocket the commission, simple as that.

Applying all the banks in Malaysia won't affect your scoring.
Obviously he don't want to let you go for this sale because he won't get any commission and basic salary is zero or rm500 before epf and socso.

Btw, you online transfer to the company account's?

What you can do is to tell him to get you the other brand car's if you okay with it. At least he can earn something.

And Malaysia's law say he need to return back your booking fee for at least 90% of it. So he the company cannot escape by saying need to deal with salesman unless u didn't transfer to the company's account and there is no official receipt from them.
