Erm so far is 8.30?

So far not much fuss about the new firmware. But I did notice before i updated, there used to be a quite loud and constant frequent sound coming from the loudspeaker when I play the music through the loudspeaker. After the update, there is less of the popping sound.

That's funny... I did mine without a problem.

Yea mine is an AP set. So far nothing wrong with it.

Hmm the V8.30 came in about a month later after the release in the Europe. But I didn't get to update mine until the 1 month's grace period.

Yea 16 million colour. Why?

I think he got it from the net. The colour has more contrast and brilliant if compared to 256k

Have you dropped the phone before on any rather hard and rigid surface?

As for mine, my screen turns black for a short while sometimes when I am using the phone since I dropped it on the floor by accident.

I noticed that, the picture quality produced by the 5610XM is better than the SE Cybershot phones such as the K810i and K800i. It's richer in colour (of course because 5610XM is 16mil colours) and the image is shaper.

I sure hope there is an update for the music player theme too Is anyone having problem with the current 8.30 firmware?

Firmware v9.40 is officially out in Malaysia. Has anyone successfully downloaded and installed the latest firmware???

Hard format is only applicable for the Series 60 phones. the 5610 XM is a Series 40 phone so you can't hard format it.

You can only rest factory settings or reinstall the firmware version.

I don't think it is possible because this is not a Series 60 phone. Besides, even Nokia themselves don't offer the Nokia Maps for this phone model.

In fact there are only 2 available clock display as far as I can tell because I've been using this phone for a year plus. It's either the clock is in the digital mode or that analogue mode.

I think firmware upgrade availability also depends on the origin of the phone. Like mine, that time when I only upgraded to V09.40 after almost 6 months since that firmware was released.

Anyway, talking about the slider key, you can get it repaired by the Nokia centers or any phone shops. I heard it costs about RM45 just to replace it.

That was the las time when I was told that price. Now I am not too sure.

The light effects are for the missed calls and unread SMS/MMS. However they only blink like once every 2 minutes or so.

If you say yours is always breathing I reckon it's probably because of your FM radio. It's probably the last time you used the radio function and then you unplugged the headset without turning off the radio itself first.

That one I am not sure. Mine only blinks when there's missed calls and unread messages.

The breathing light effect only works when I am playing the radio or the music player. Have you check your radio whether it's on or not?
